Positive Parenting Group or Class

Winner: PEPS

A Golden Teddy winner for three years in a row, PEPS (Program for Early Parent Support) has helped Puget Sound–area parents adjust to parenting for more than three decades. These neighborhood-based parent groups increase family wellness while growing community between new moms and dads.

Finalists

Since 1980, Kirkland’s Lake Washington Toddler Group has helped build strong and healthy families by providing parents and toddlers with a semi-structured classroom environment in which they play, learn and create together.

For families with children ages newborn to 5 years old, South Seattle College Cooperative Preschools offers affordable preschool classes at five neighborhood locations. Parents and children learn together in these classrooms, and parents love getting to know other parents while kids have their first school experience.

Amy Martino of Sun and Moon Child blends her background in child psychology, various professional certifications and ancient wisdom to help parents raise physically and emotionally healthy, confident children. She uses astrology to gain a deeper understanding of a child’s needs for nurturing, while teaching parents the skills needed to foster deep connections with their child.

Play comes first at Woodinville Toddler Group, a cooperative parenting education program that serves parents and kids ages 5 months to 4 years. Parents play and learn alongside their children, and every classroom fosters community connections that help build strong families.
