7 Fab Field Trips for Seattle-Area Adults: No Permission Slip Required
Write it down
Seattle’s Hugo House is a special place to writing instructor Theo Nestor, who has taught there for five years.
“It’s an alternative to an MFA program for writers,” she says. As a center dedicated to teaching and promoting the craft of writing of all kinds, Hugo House is more accessible than a university program by design. Writing classes start at one-day sessions and lead up to year-long courses for longer projects. There is an option for nearly every writer, no matter the limits of time, and classes are purposely small to assure meaningful interaction and feedback.
“Hugo House meets students at their level,” says Nestor. “It’s a welcoming place.”
