Congrats to Our 2016 Kids in the Wild Photo Contest Winners!

So many cute kids exploring nature, so little time!

Congratulations, winners!

It's no surprise Pacific Northwest families submit some of the cutest photos of kids outdoors! With more than 85 entries to our June 2016 Kids in the Wild photo contest, it was hard to pick a favorite. We were wild about all of them! But eventually, we had to choose two winners for our amazing prizes from Woodland Park Zoo.

Click through to see which entries, after much deliberation, took second and first place!

Second place: "Sand Race"

"Every year during our annual camping trip to Cape Disappointment, the family has a foot race in the sand. To date, my husband always wins, but each year the kids get faster."

Congratulations to Misty Cato! You've won a Woodland Park Zoo family day pass and $45 gift card.

Prize includes a one-day pass for two adults and two children, subject to restrictions based on available space. Adult pass applies to ages 13 and older, child pass for ages 3  to 12. Ages 0 to 2 are free. The $45 gift card is redeemable for zoo memberships, admission tickets, ZooParent animal adoptions, ZooStore or certain food service location purchases.

Total prize value: $109

Grand prize: "Duck, duck, duck"

"Abby is delighted to meet so many feathered friends at Lake Meridian."

Congratulations to Heather Meier! You've won a Woodland Park Zoofamily membership, adoption kit and carousel rides.

Prize includes a Chilean flamingo ZooParent adoption kit with flamingo plush, ZooParent adoption certificate, animal fact sheet, color photo of animal, ZooParent static cling and online recognition for one year. Also included in the prize pacakage: two carousel rides and a amily membership for two adults and two kids for a one-year term.

Total prize value: $205.00
