  • Skagit Eagle Festival. Day trip alert! Throughout January, you can view wintering bald eagles around the Skagit River, with towns such as Concrete and Marblemount hosting story times, science activities and other kid fun.
  • Martin Luther King, Jr. March. Inspire your kids and give them a taste of history by joining Seattle's annual march from Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial Park to the Rainier Community Center in Seattle.
  • Lunar New Year. Local celebrations include the exciting lion dance that kicks off the Wing Luke Museum's festivities (Jan. 25). You'll also find celebrations at Bellevue Square, Seattle Center and in the International District. Find enthralling firecrackers, lion dances, dumplings and quieter cultural fun.
