School highlights

For many, big cities feel disconnected and isolating. Perhaps you long for the feeling of community you experienced growing up in a place where people care about you and your family. At SCS, our families unite in a strong community that welcomes new people, looks out for one another, helps one another – a place where lasting friendships grow.

Facilities and resources

The Shoreline Christian School campus is situated on 8 acres on the border of Shoreline and Seattle, just off 145th Ave NE and Lake City/Bothell Way. Our campus is adjacent to the Shoreline Christian Reformed Church and shares the parking lot on school days.

The campus comprises three buildings: Elementary (K-5), Middle School and High School  (6-12) and the gym. The facility features an all-weather surfaced outdoor athletic area with the elementary playground in a forest setting. The campus also has wireless network access, a computer lab, elementary library, media room, a science lab, and an art room. The preschool, childcare and summer programs are located on the ground floor of the church.

Student achievement

National Honor Society has an active chapter at SCS that leads the school in various kinds of service activities.

Our juniors participate each year in the National Merit Scholarship program through the PSAT/NMSQT (Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test) each fall. In the last three years, four students have been Finalists and Semi-Finalists; two have been Commended.

The Seattle Northeast Rotary Club has awarded several scholarships to SCS students over the years. In the last three years, 13 of the 21 scholarships awarded by the Rotary Club have gone to SCS students.

Our graduates earn numerous academic and service-based scholarships. Many students receive high academic scholarships such as the presidential scholarships for the respective colleges or universities.

95% of our graduates continue their education at a college of their choice; 75% choose four-year colleges or universities.
