St. Monica Parish School opened its doors in September, 1960, committed to serving the academic needs of Catholic families. We are proud that this tradition continues today. St. Monica Parish School is dedicated to providing an educational environment that develops moral judgment and Catholic values. This environment cultivates the intellect and promotes sound social, physical, and spiritual growth of its students. PreK - grade 8.
Our school is an integral part of St. Monica Parish. Our students are members and beneficiaries of a strong, supportive community of parents, teachers, staff, and parishioners who share and reinforce common spiritual and intellectual values.
St. Monica Parish School uses Essential Academic Learning Requirements (EALRs)as a framework for establishing curriculum goals school-wide. The curriculum includes religion, math, language-arts, reading, science, social studies, Spanish, art, music, middle school enrichment electives, and physical education. Technology is integrated throughout the curriculum. A reading/learning resource teacher is on staff to offer enrichment, study skills and remediation for students.
St. Monica Parish School is a Pre-K through 8th grade school. There is also and after-school care program available for registered students.
Students are offered a wide variety of activities that further enrich their academic development. More examples include: Band, Choir, Class Retreats, CYO Sports, Environmental Camp, Musical Performances, Science Kits, Sparrow Club,, Speech Team, Student Government, Yearbook production.
Art is offered at every grade level. The students participate in the Art Contest at Archbishop Murphy High School each year.
