Friends of Lake Sammamish State Park (FLSSP) in collaboration with Eastside Audubon, will offer two birding walks for children. Scheduled dates are April 13 & April 20.
The first half hour will consist of instruction about birding etiquette, bird identification, using field guides, birding apps and binoculars. This is followed by 1+ hour walk in the park to see what birds are there concluding with a Q&A session.
Bring binoculars if you have them; loaners will be available if you don't. The trip is open to children ages 8+. All children under age 16 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian.
The trip is free but limited to 10 people (5 children/5 adults) and pre-registration is required. Contact Jennifer Adut at director@flssp.org to register or with questions.
