Activities include:
Science – Trivia! Famous African American scientists & inventors
Technology - One of the many African American inventors, Otis Boykin, had 26 patents in his name and is famed for the development of IBM computers. To celebrate his achievement we'll let you take apart a laptop so you can see inside a machine that wouldn't exist without Mr. Boykin.
Engineering – Use inventions by African Americans as your inspiration to build something unique using Legos!
Art – Using the book, Sweet Clara and the Freedom Quilt by Deborah Hopkinson as our inspiration, we'll make our own freedom quilt.
Math – Learn Egyptian Math!
