Calendar/Event Details

Editor's Note: Once released, the virtual play chapters are available to you at anytime. New chapters are release on the dates specified.

Tacoma Arts Live is pleased to present Ruby Bridges, an original all-ages play by Milo Mowery. Follow six-year old Ruby as she braves racist mobs to become the first African American student to racially integrate an elementary school in New Orleans. This play is commissioned as part of Tacoma Arts Live’s Civil Rights Legacy Tour. Guided by Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s assertion that “Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere,” this program serves more than 20,000 students each year with inspiring live theater.

Tune in on Saturdays and Wednesdays for a new chapter of this series, and visit our website for learning activities connected to the videos.
