Location: All over Seattle (exact locations will be announced closer to the event)
PARK(ing) Day happens once a year on the third Friday in September, and falls on the last day of the 2018 Seattle Design Festival (September 6-21)! PARK(ing) Day is an opportunity for Seattleites to temporarily turn on-street parking spaces into public places and rethink how streets can be used. This international event raises awareness about the importance of a walkable, livable, healthy city and helps people re-think how our streets can be used. The program is intended to encourage creative placemaking while raising awareness about the importance of walkable, livable, and healthy communities. All it takes is a free application and anyone can host their very own little park! Applications due August 24.
