Pickle: The Dog Who Loved to Read!

Calendar/Event Details

"Pickle: The Dog Who Loves to Read" tackles serious issues such as dyslexia and what it means to be adopted, yet it is also a joyous and entertaining ride.  “Mona Lisa wanted a dog more than anything in the world…a dog named Pickle!"  So begins an original musical theater adventure about a dog who loved to read—and a little girl who didn't. Mona Lisa and her mother celebrate her adoption day by going to the local animal rescue shelter to find a pet. There they discover a dog with an amazing talent: he can read! At first Mona Lisa is thrilled with her new pal, but as his ability emphasizes her own struggle with reading, she becomes less enamored with her choice.
