Playdate at PacSci - CANCELED

Calendar/Event Details

We have been monitoring and following guidance from the CDC, Public-Health - Seattle & King County, and other public officials regarding COVID-19. Up until today, we have been able to serve guests while following that guidance. This morning, Washington Governor Jay Inslee announced a prohibition on gatherings of 250 people or more in King, Pierce, and Snohomish Counties. The restrictions are in place for the rest of the month of March.

Based on Governor Inslee’s announcement, we have determined that the best course of action at this point is for PacSci to close to the public starting Thursday, March 12. This includes all programs and events, both IMAX theaters, the Laser Dome, the Mercer Slough Environmental Education Center, and the Polliwog Preschool.

Start your day at Playdates at PacSci, a program series designed with early learners in mind! Enjoy a relaxing morning under the arches with your child, explore our toddler-friendly experiences, and more. Playdates at PacSci takes place every Wednesday through mid-June.

Young scientists have many opportunities for exploration during this special time designed just for them. Play in our Just for Tots area, full of age-appropriate, hands-on activities, or join Story Time, where kids can engage with our educators and listen to fun and creative stories. Make sure not to miss out on the wonders of astronomy with our Preschool Planetarium Show!

Playdates at PacSci is fun for adults too! Mingle with other parents and caregivers, explore the Science Center, and bring your tot’s imagination to life!
