ABOUT Start STEM Early (SSE)

Start STEM Early (SSE) is a 501(c)(3) charitable non-profit organization dedicated to providing education in the fields of science and technology to elementary and early middle school students. SSE’s mission is to support and serve children around the world by sharing hands-on learning opportunities and fundamental knowledge in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM). Intro to App Building is one of their most popular courses and will be included in the July 22nd event.

SSE was founded in 2018 by brothers, Sayan and Sohil Bhatia who have a combined experience of 11 years in learning, competing and teaching STEM. They have also been the winner of the Congressional App Challenge in Washington’s 1st district.

Since its inception, SSE’s educational programs have impacted over 7,300  students through 66 sessions. With the anticipated need for an ongoing increase in qualified members of the STEM related workforce, SSE is helping to prepare our future generation of science and technology innovators. By conducting learning and competition events, SSE is able to fulfill their goal of helping students to start STEM early and understand the exciting opportunities available for them now and for years to come.
