  • Dante Marioni: Form, Color, Pattern
    The exhibit is a survey comprising thirty exceptional glass works crafted over the past two decades by artist, Dante Marioni, known for his mastery of Venetian techniques to create graceful glass forms in bold colors and with classic lines. Included in the exhibition are pieces from the artist’s personal collection as well as one multi-vessel wall display made specifically for this exhibition.

  • Lino Tagliapietra in Retrospect: A Modern Renaissance in Italian Glass
    Take a look at the art and 40-year career of Lino Tagliapietra, known as the maestro of glassblowing. The exhibition comprises 169 objects acquired from the artist’s own collection and collections around the world, including pivotal and renowned series of artistic work, designs made for industry, and private objects that have never been exhibited.

  • Living Legacies: Homage to a Maestro

  • Soar into Story: The Adventures of Raven and Coyote

  • Renton River Days
    Activities at the Seafair celebration include a parade on Saturday (10 a.m. on South Third in downtown Renton), a rubber ducky derby on Sunday (4:30 p.m., Houser Street Bridge) and many other active, family-oriented activities all weekend. Wednesday is Kids' Day, which includes entertainment from 10 a.m.-5 p.m., lots of hands-on activities and performances by the Wenatchee Youth Circus at 1:30 and 6 p.m. ($1/person).     The festival includes over one hundred bead merchants and artisans from across the country, bringing beads from all around the world. Beads range from hundreds of years old to contemporary one of a kind glass beads made by local artists. The festival also features over one hundred workshops from nationally known instructors on glass bead making, seedbeading, wireworking and contemporary jewelry design.  An in-show classroom sponsored will provide basic technique classes throughout the weekend.
