Paint, pencil, and everything in between! Learn and develop foundational drawing and painting skills in a supportive, fun environment. We will work with acrylic and watercolor, oil and chalk pastel, charcoal, pencil, and clay from still life studies and our imagination! It's cold outside and mid-winter break is just around the corner. Plan something fun for your kids to do. Register your crew for our volleyball camp where they can run around and burn off some energy. We’ll provide the fun drills and other activities, on and off the sand!

Under the direction of Sam Vance, campers develop their physical theater skills in this unique partnership between SPT and Teatro ZinZanni. Classic clowning, circus skills, mime, lazzi and character development--all these skills are great tools whether kids are beginners or seasoned actors. Students practice flexibility and specificity, deepen their craft, and have fun working in an ensemble. Plus, they’ll get a few master classes from world-famous professional circus performers. The week culminates in sharing for family and friends (11 a.m. Friday) full of laughing, gasping, and applauding.

Under the stage direction of SPT Artistic Associate Kelly Kitchens and the music direction of Seattle Opera Youth Program Director Barbara Lynne Jamison, campers dive into Offenbach's Orpheus in the Underworld. This camp continues SPT's successful and growing relationship with Seattle Opera. Technical Internships and Teaching Assistant positions available for grades 9-12; get service learning hours while having fun, giving back to your community, and gaining valuable life and leadership skills. Campers will get their hands dirty at this one-of-a-kind camp designed for those who wonder “What if I want to be a Vet, or work with animals one day?” We’ll explore animal anatomy, body systems, treatments and medications, bandaging and nutrition. Campers visit a veterinary clinic and engage with special guests who will talk about real-life animal emergencies. Each day will include instructional time, practical hands-on labs, experiments and treatments, and fun activities and games. Campers will finish the week with a clearer understanding of what Vet Technicians and Doctors of Veterinary Medicine do every day.

Join Olympia Family Theater for a great camp rehearsing and performing a short comedy play in one week's time. "Law and Order: Fairy Tale Unit" is a fun spoof on the T.V. show that turns fairy tales on their heads. Performance for family and friends at 3 p.m. on Friday.

Camp Zone offers weekly camps featuring a variety of activities in areas of arts and crafts, sports and games, nature and science, and music, dance and drama. Summer at Youth Theatre Northwest is a child’s opportunity to shine! Extensive summer camps ignite creativity as children sing, dance and perform through the summer. On stage or in the classroom, young artists explore the thrill of live performance and expand the boundaries of their creativity and imagination. Flexible schedule allows for registration for one week of classes or a full three-week series.

“Oded” means to encourage or invigorate, and our highly acclaimed Counselor-in-Training and Leadership program is built to do just that. As part of a close-knit team, the Odedim live together in the Oded Village and spend a number of days on an extended outdoor adventure. The Oded program is truly a hands-on training program, as the participants plan programs, lead services, create an Oded Project, teach activities and share responsibility for a cabin of campers. Hidden Valley Camp is a traditional overnight summer camp for boys and girls. Activities include horseback riding, sailing, swimming, arts and crafts, canoeing, drama, archery, sports/games, hiking and much more. Carefully selected and trained staff work with small living groups (1:7 ratio) to help provide a safe, caring, friendly camp community. Hidden Valley Camp is accredited by the American Camp Association and is a safe, fun and rewarding experience providing lifelong friendships and memories to campers since 1947.

Live at Dog Mountain Farm and experience farm life. Each day girls participate in care and feeding of animals, preparing garden beds and planting the fields, working in the greenhouse planting and harvesting produce, milking goats, and collecting eggs. Campers will learn basic culinary skills while preparing meals from farm-fresh products, including baking bread and making cheese. Additional topics may include poultry butchering, sheep shearing, soap making and others. Campers reside in a platform tent and sleep on cots. Meals will be prepared and served in our outdoor kitchen.

Goalkeepers and Strikers Week is a week of all-round soccer training led by Paul Barron, England International and outstanding goalkeeper trainer for the English Premiership. PB, as we call him, is assisted by a number of college and club coaches including Sergio Soriano, greater Seattle goalkeeper trainer. Paul and Sergio have been training goalkeepers (most notably the Seattle Sounders' Kasey Keller and the Wolverhampton Wolves' Marcus Hahnemann) at Northwest Soccer Camp for over 28 years.

This backpacking program is a fun, exciting and significant first step on a Hero or Heroine's Journey. This camp begins with hiking along the mountain trails of beautiful Olympic National Park, where environmental stewardship is a focus of learning. Participants will also take part in wilderness cooking, trail safety and experience the joy of sleeping under the open sky. The North Cascades have drawn many great explorers. Be the next to explore this wonderland! Boys will start in the National Park and hike (with a backpack) down to Ross Lake, where they may see eagles and falcons, catch fish in the clear waters and share stories and marshmallows around the campfire. Summer science day camp held at multiple neighborhood locations throughout greater Seattle. Get down and dirty this summer with our Fish Biology experience where campers learn about all things fishy. We will spend some time at EPS learning about fish biology (including doing dissections) and at the University of Washington Fish Collection looking at cool specimens. We will visit the Seattle Aquarium and even head out to the Sound to check out tide pool aquatic life and spend time with real biologists working in the field!

Lakeside Summer School offers Middle School Academic Camps for students entering grades 5 - 8. This summer, we're looking for young musicians who want to learn what it takes to form a band, record a CD, and play a concert. Rock Shop is open to all musicians: singers, guitarists, drummers, woodwinds, brass players, keyboardists and bassists. Director Brendan Bosworth designed Rock Shop to be a first ensemble experience for young musicians who aspire to form their own bands or participate in junior and high school jazz band. Jazz is America’s art form and the fundamentals of jazz are essential for any instrumentalist who is interested in performing commercial music.
