  • Beach Camp at Sunset Bay Reader Found It! Submitted by Jeff Thomas
Beach Camp is the most fun middle and high school students can have this side of Hawaii. With a half acre wharf, several miles of sandy beach, and every imaginable type of water sports equipment, you'll learn sailing, windsurfing, wake surfing, wake-boarding, sea kayaking, and more! Our over-water zip line, tight rope, and flying trapeze add extra excitement, and wet suits and a hot tub keep everyone warm regardless of the weather. Small student to instructor ratio and tiered for all levels of ability. Ten week-long camps available (Jun. 28-Jul. 2, Jul. 5-9, Jul. 12-16, Jul. 19-23, Jul. 26-30, Aug. 2-6, Aug. 9-13, Aug. 16-20, Aug. 23-27 and Aug. 30-Sep. 3).

  • Center for Wooden Boats - Intermediate Sailing Reader Found It!
Our Intermediate class is the next step after the beginning class and gives students time on the water to practice and improve their sailing skills while learning more about the theory and culture of sailing. Students fine-tune their fundamental sailing skills while exploring new elements of sailing such as adventuring, marlinspike seamanship and racing. This is the next step for students who know the basics of sailing and are ready to sail a boat by themselves. Prerequisite: Beginning Sailing or instructor permission. Financial assistance is available.
