The SAGA School provides students with a full immersion German language program (Preschool, Pre-K, K - 3rd grade) that fosters early language acquisition and promotes cross-cultural understanding. The curriculum includes group activities and exploratory projects, circle and story times, arts and crafts, music appreciation, numeracy and science introduction, and physical activities. Academic skills in the Kindergarten program include fundamental reading, writing and math skills. Elementary aged children keep a 'foot in both worlds' as the program meets academic standards for Germany and the United States.
For children (and families!) who are new to the German language, we closely monitor their language development to ensure that they will have a positive experience and gain the German language skills needed to advance to the next grade level. In addition, interested parents receive additional German-language materials and advice to foster ongoing language development at home. The teachers and parents work as a team to provide the best learning support to your child.
