Just like birthdays, slumber parties are a year around event for kids and who doesn't want to show off their new PJ party attire and goodies? In this class the girls will learn basic sewing techniques through making a pair of PJs (with pocket's of course), A Woobie (rice filled, microwaveable, warmers), a travel pillow with hidden pocket and a fun face on it, and a drawstring tote to carry their PJ supplies to and fro.  A small materials list will be emailed before class.

Ekone Ranch offers a one-of-a-kind camp program on 1060 acres of canyonlands, forests and meadows near the Columbia Gorge. Our residential, co-ed camp program features small groups of no more than 20 children per session and a 6:1 camper/staff ratio or better. Horse camp sessions emphasize the special relationship between children and horses. Campers spend many hours each day with our wonderful horses, grooming, learning groundwork, practicing in the arena, and going on long trail rides through spectacular country. We ride bareback and western. When not with the horses, campers are engaged in a variety of art projects, nature explorations, swimming, ranch activities and chores. Our garden-fresh, from-scratch food is a highlight of the camp experience (many a camper has learned to love their vegetables in the Yummy Tummy Cafe). A special two-day sampler for future campers. Campers experience a taste of Classic Day Camp while being provided extra care in smaller groups. Sunday check-in allows parents a chance to meet child's counselor.

This brand new, 3-night camp is a perfect opportunity for budding naturalists to follow their curiosity and go further with the skills and discoveries that they loved at our day camps. Whether your child is attending overnight camp for the first time, or has been to our overnight camps multiple times, the Naturalist Overnight is intended to be an opportunity for your child to learn more of the foundational skills of ecology and natural history! While exploring the forest around Linne Doran (Pond of the Otter) -- our school campus near Duvall -- students and staff at this camp will have opportunities to track the local wildlife, perhaps making plaster casts of their tracks, and to use both field guides and common sense to identify the tracks and sign that wildlife leave behind. Campers will have the opportunity to rise early, sitting with the birds during the dawn chorus and then creating observation-based maps which will begin to reveal what’s going on in “the neighborhood” of the forest. Sustainable harvesting techniques will be taught, and wild plants will be harvested for food and medicine. Campers will have the opportunity to create and begin to use their very own nature journals which can become tools for further learning as well as an opportunity to creatively capture their discoveries. Rounding out the camp experience will be plenty of adventurous exploration, stories around the fire at night, and the formation of a strong sense of community. Participants in this camp will experience the fantastic learning routines that have helped our adult students develop amazing naturalist skills and will leave with ideas of how to continue their journey at home. All youth overnight participants must return a signed Physician’s Medical Form by June 1. This is for the safety of our participants and our organization. Completion of this form will require a physical exam completed within one year of the course date, and an appointment with that physician for the form to be filled out. Forest tribal knowledge around the globe is dwindling. Can you rise to the challenges of teamwork and diversity, to band together, in order to help the tribes regain their strength? Initiation into the tribe begins with the spirit animal choosing ceremony. Your tribe will then be challenged to acquire honor beads for each task that is successfully completed. How will your fellow tribe members prepare for the adventure that lies ahead? Search for those that know the ways of the plants and animals in order to gain valuable wisdom that has been passed on from generation to generation. The transformation will be complete when you can demonstrate your abilities in ancient techniques such as: - Build a shelter out of natural materials - Make a totem animal amulet - Create a tribal journal for future generations - Identify native plants and their uses - Practice the five qualities of a successful tribe.

Eremon Farm is pleased to offer our annual Summer Riding Camps! Our camps are designed to offer your young rider(s) a chance to experience the art and love of horse riding and care first hand. Our camps are exclusively horse focused and designed to provide a large amount of saddle time so our beginning campers can learn their basics (walk/trot/canter and pole courses) or our more experienced riders can learn new, more advanced riding techniques with their flat work and jumping. Among many things, our campers will learn: · Horse and barn safety · How to tack, ride and care for their horse · Name the parts of the horse and tack · Become proficient in barn and tack care; · And, of course, ride! We have twice daily riding sessions, mounted games and plenty of hands-on learning time with the horses. Parents are also invited to join us on our last day for a mini “show” where the students will have a chance to show off what they have learned over the week. Owner/Trainer Joanna Jackowich has years of experience teaching and directing riding camps, as well as being a professional A circuit instructor and coach. Do you know a fashionista designer full of ideas and looking for a place to use them? Send them to Made to learn the fundamentals of fashion design, color, sewing techniques, and fashion illustration. We will work with the designers to create a clothing line based on a central theme of their preference, and then they will sew one of their designs to take home. This is a 3 day camp.

Come join Seattle's Littlest Performers for a fun-filled summer of singing, dancing and drama! Campers will explore the Paris countryside with Duchess and her kittens as they seek help to find their way home after being catnapped by their loving human's jealous butler Edgar. Luckily, a rag-tag bunch of unforgettable Alley Cats come to their rescue! This feline adventure is sure to get children tapping their feet to its hip and jazzy beats. This cute musical has something for everyone. No camp on Tuesday, July 4th.

Weekly summer day camps during July. Learn to ride at a safe and fun horse farm! Phoenix Farm's Day Camps are designed for beginner-level riders ages 6 and up. The camp covers all aspects of basic horsemanship and care of the horse. Class sizes are kept small to provide a personalized approach to beginning riding. Our camp instructors have over 24 years of combined teaching experience, and focus on safety first, then fun and correct form. Each daily session includes a 1.5 hour English riding lesson. Riders will be matched to a pony or horse for the entire week and will learn to tack, untack, clean, and care for their horses. At the end of the week, students will have the opportunity to paticipate in a demonstration/show to parents of what they've learned that week--great way to celebrate their accomplishments!

Revel in the family organic garden in this two-day class for parents and preschoolers. Learn what to plant and how to work together to grow in your own garden. In this three-day session, campers will have a chance to experience the worlds of pirates, wizards, and aliens while playing a variety of creative and group games. One day we will take a journey to the high seas, go on a treasure hunt, and learn to talk like a pirate. Come ready to join the magical realms of witches and wizards, complete with wand making and spell casting. For our Space day, will explore the depths of the universe, play astronaut games, and dress up like aliens. You can also practice what it might feel like to walk on the moon as you bounce away at Sky High.

This week we’ll put you in the cockpit of the Blackbird! The Museum is home to the only MD-21 left in the world and you can learn the secrets of a supersonic spy! Learn how to crack codes and send secret messages to help solve the mystery of the missing Museum moon rocks!

Our Advanced Day Camps is intended for participants in the Tashunka Lesson program or receive approval. In this camp, each participant has his or her own horse for the week, and campers take part in all aspects of owning a horse, including feeding, picking stalls and paddock areas, graining, grooming, vet care, riding, horse economics, field trips, and much much more.

Adolescence can be a turbulent and trying time and most of our young people are launched into it with little consciousness and even less preparation. Becoming a Young Woman was created to help girls cross the bridge between childhood and youth in love and beauty. It will help them reach young womanhood with a deeper sense of themselves, their own inner and outer beauty and the gifts they bring to the world, so that they may walk through their teen years with strength and self-confidence. This group of 10 middle school girls will spend a week at a moon lodge on Bainbridge Island, engaging in a Rite of Passage experience to honor and celebrate the conscious step into young womanhood with a sweat bath ceremony, an 8-hour solo in the woods, and a ritual of welcoming to womanhood.
