Participants will learn art fundamentals through fun, exploratory projects. Along with helping to express creative individuality, they will also learn skills that they can apply to all facets of learning!

Zeno, a non-profit organization, is offering its math camp adventures this summer that are super fun and help to combat that dreaded summer learning loss. Campers will use architecture to design and build their own city; build geometric Pirate Hats and learning to read treasure maps; play Blink while Measuring Monkeys with their Supermind; and learn money systems to barter like the Romans, Grecians, and Mayans. Ekone Ranch offers a one-of-a-kind camp program on 1060 acres of canyonlands, forests and meadows near the Columbia Gorge. Our residential, co-ed camp program features small groups of no more than 20 children per session and a 6:1 camper/staff ratio or better. Horse camp sessions emphasize the special relationship between children and horses. Campers spend many hours each day with our wonderful horses, grooming, learning groundwork, practicing in the arena, and going on long trail rides through spectacular country. We ride bareback and western. When not with the horses, campers are engaged in a variety of art projects, nature explorations, swimming, ranch activities and chores. This session is designed specifically for campers who already have some riding experience, with at least fifteen hours of independent, self-controlled riding under their belt (lessons or other experience), or one prior Ekone Summer Camp session. Intermediate session campers are aged 10-18, with a maximum group size of 24 and a minimum staff:camper ratio of 1:5.  This is a co-ed session.

In this inspiring program youth will learn: Yoga poses that increase physical strength and self confidence, breathing/meditation methods to help calm your body and mind, nutritional knowledge of how food affects mood, energy and vitality, methods for easy relaxation and stress management, the power of laughter and positive thinking, how to build strong, healthy relationships and creative expression through art and journaling. Why did the Chicken go to Camp? Each camper will have a whole chicken to de-bone. This chicken will be used to create a family meal that will be sent home at the end of the week. We will use every part of the chicken, making chicken sausage, wings for lunch, chicken breast parmesan for the take-home dinner. The meal taken home on Friday will include: Chicken sausage bruschetta, local organic salad, Pappardelle pasta with tomato sauce, Chicken Parmesan, and fresh mini fruit pies.

This camp encompasses favorites that are typically inexpensive, uncomplicated, and easy to prepare. In addition to a brief sojourn into ethnic foods, this camp will focus on practical meals and homemade favorites. These dishes are particularly good for young people when they need to keep costs down. Your young chef will rub elbows with many professional chefs all week long becoming competent and proficient in the kitchen by actually practicing hands-on culinary skills with them for five hours a day! Camp Explorations is an 11-week day camp program for children ages 5-12. Campers are divided into groups based on their grade levels in school. Dupont Kids Fitness' weekly summer camps offer non-competitive sports and nutrition education for campers. Our coaching staff are required to be certificated teachers and they provide high quality lessons throughout the week. Finally, time to wear something other than a parka! To get our summer season jumping we have a brand new kids' summer camp dedicated to, well, summer! In this class the kids will learning basic sewing techniques while finishing a super cute wrap skirt and board shorts to wear at the beach. For the boys we will make two board shorts with pockets. A small materials list will be emailed out prior to class.

Introducing young children to the joys of horsemanship is one of the highlights of summer at RockMeadow. Campers enjoy a one-week day camp with plenty of hands-on time with safe and well trained horses an ponies. The camps are limited to just ten campers, insuring that each child receives plenty of one on one attention from our instructors and camp counselors. Our camps are designed to be an excellent introductory experience for young children with little to no riding background. Activities include daily classes about horses, grooming, feeding and caring for a horse or pony, daily riding lessons, arts and crafts, gardening, trail walks, pizza party and end of the week horse show. Each camper will receive a camp tee-shirt, Certificate of Achievement and Horse Show Award.

Join SYT this summer as we learn to express our creative minds and bodies, develop theatrical passion, and explore the world around us through performance art! By each Friday, through the use of team collaboration, technique-based youth drama training, and our own collective imagination, students will create and present a piece which highlights the theatrical element of the week. In this week of hands-on science, campers will do experiments, learn the process of scientific inquiry, and discover fascinating facts about the world’s most interesting scientific topics. During our field trip to the Kids in Medicine laboratory at the Seattle Science Foundation, we will dissect a pig heart in the bioskills lab to learn about body systems and medicine.

The Explorer West Summer Arts Improvisation Camp - Theatre, Circus, Fine Arts, Dancing and Singing. The theme of our camp is improvisation and interconnected art. This is a two-week performing and fine arts camp and all students are welcome; you need not be an Explorer West student. During camp, students will explore dance, acting, circus arts, music, and fine arts in the theme of improvisation. How does a painting inspire a work of dance? How does a song inspire a scene? Students will create their own world of art in a camp that is designed for any skill level.
