Hunger Plays is an opportunity for middle school girls to come together to discuss and discover their hopes, dreams, and desires and the unknown that lies on the other side of the threshhold of being young women. In this three-week playwriting and drama intensive we will ask: what are you hungry for? In this all-female ensemble, we explore how girls deal with competition and friendships. We share our experiences of hunger and desire both literal and metaphorical, and why adolscence can leave you with a feeling like the pie of life is limited, and what to do when we feel we can only get a slice at another girl’s expense. How can we push ourselves as girls to succeed and triumph, while retaining the spirit of collaboration and play recently left behind on the playground? Is there a way to succeed without starving those around you?

Come join us for Wedgwood Drama Studio’s theater summer camp. We’ll play theater games, build original characters, explore movement and scene work and learn what it takes to create an original performance all in the beautiful outdoors! Camp is led by Wedgwood Drama Studio’s brother and sister team Michael and Christi Cruz who have over 15 years experience performing on the stage, screen and teaching in the classroom. Theater in the Park performance for families is August 3rd at 3 pm. Camp fills at 16 on a first come, first served basis. Hope you can join us!

Did you ever think it would be fun to write a show or play and then act it out? If so, this is the camp for you! This camp allows participants to bring their imagination and voice to their writing, within a safe, fun and engaging environment. From short story writing, poetry and art, stage writing, to newspaper reporting, non-fiction writing or digital comic books participants get to explore her creative side, while achieving a higher level of academic excellence.

Organized over three days this camp will allow the kids to prepare a two-course menu each day that will be shared with the other participants and each day they will also get to learn a new French style craft: flower jewelry one day, macarons magnets another, and link bracelet with a charm the third day (also called French friendship bracelet).

Do you know a fashionista designer full of ideas and looking for a place to use them? Send them to Made to learn the fundamentals of fashion design, color, sewing techniques, and fashion illustration. We will work with the designers to create a clothing line based on a central theme of their preference, and then they will sew one of their designs to take home. This is a 3 day camp.

Ekone Ranch offers a one-of-a-kind camp program on 1060 acres of canyonlands, forests and meadows near the Columbia Gorge. Our residential, co-ed camp program features small groups of no more than 20 children per session and a 6:1 camper/staff ratio or better. Horse camp sessions emphasize the special relationship between children and horses. Campers spend many hours each day with our wonderful horses, grooming, learning groundwork, practicing in the arena, and going on long trail rides through spectacular country. We ride bareback and western. When not with the horses, campers are engaged in a variety of art projects, nature explorations, swimming, ranch activities and chores. Our garden-fresh, from-scratch food is a highlight of the camp experience (many a camper has learned to love their vegetables in the Yummy Tummy Cafe). Campers sleep in our A-frame longhouse, in tipis, under the stars, or in the hay barn where we listen to the horses breathe all night long. This is one of our non-horse focused camps. Young women are invited  to spend a week on a journey of self-discovery in nature. Explore your inner wisdom, passions and creativity through daily practices of meditation, journaling, art, movement, drumming, and horse play. This life-changing week will include solo time for reflection, a ceremonial  sweat, sharing in group council and a ceremony welcoming you into womanhood. We will learn how plants and animals are our allies as we walk the land, discover  our spirit animals and dance the night away!

This one-week trip is designed for high school students to take a moment to pause and listen, check in with themselves, and return with renewed purpose and inspiration for their life paths. This journey is a safe place to learn about dealing with new challenges that arise for teens. It encourages the process of maturation among a community of mentors and peers who know how to be supportive and honest. Participants learn skills in wilderness living and in navigating their own inner journey.

This five-night camp is devoted to developing the keen awareness demonstrated by the ancient ”scouts” of many cultures. These were the people who knew the landscape and everything that was happening on it in order to keep their people safe and healthy in the face of the challenges of living from the land. Often remaining invisible, their abilities seemed like magic. Through adventures with camouflage, bird language (the alarm system of the forest), wildlife and human tracking, stealthy movement, and wild edible plants, we begin to enter the world of the scout. Participants in this camp at our school campus near Duvall will likely never see nature the same way again! Scout Overnight Camp begins at 1 p.m. on Sunday and ends at 12 p.m. on Friday. Parents are encouraged to arrive at 11 a.m. on Friday All youth overnight participants must return a signed Physician’s Medical Form by June 1. This is for the safety of our participants and our organization. Completion of this form will require a physical exam completed within one year of the course date, and an appointment with that physician for the form to be filled out. We appreciate your understanding.

Come create magical memories with us this summer as we design art, interact with domestic farm animals, splash in the pool, play camp games and meet other fellow budding artists! Have fun creating two arts and crafts projects per day while exploring many mediums including: tempera, acrylic, watercolor, oil and chalk pastels, charcoal, ink and more. Explore collage, clay, printmaking, painting, drawing, decoupage, crafts and recycled art! Between art classes, have fun playing with the bunnies, cats, chickens, duck and goose, piggies and goats! And, in between camp games, there is always time to have fun on the trampoline or in the pool with friends.
