Seattle Drum School Rock Band Camp is an amazing experience for young musicians of any skill level! It's their chance to unlock their creative potential, acquire rehearsal skills, and learn cooperation and teamwork. The band members will work with a full time coach who will encourage them to build their own sound and even to compose their own songs if they're interested! The final performance, the Friday of camp @ 1pm in the L.A.B., is not to be missed by family, friends, neighbors, anyone who loves to see the unbelievable results of five days of collaboration and magic.

Camps are held at both of our Seattle locations: Seattle Drum School - North, 12510 15th Ave. N.E., Seattle, WA 98125 and Seattle Drum School - Georgetown, 1010 S. Bailey, Seattle, WA 98108.

Ropeworks’ jump rope camps are directed and run by World Jump Rope Champion and Cirque Du Soleil Artist Rene Bibaud. Boys and girls of all skill levels are invited to participate in our jump rope camps, which teach kids the following disciplines: single rope skills, partner routines, double Dutch, jumping long rope skills, group game choreography and more. Kids work together in a fun and rewarding environment of goal setting, best effort and team building. Play games, learn skills, develop new skills and stay fit in our fun-filled high energy program that really gets kids jumping! Camp culminates with a performance for friends and family.

Each week of camp the children work on developing their basic skills: somersaults, cartwheels, bridges, pivot turns, jumps, leaps, and much more. We will also be learning new skills with the Rhythmic gymnastics apparatus: jump rope, ball, hula hoop, and ribbon. Then all of these skills will be beautifully choreographed with music and dance to showcase at the end of the week.

Our Advanced Day Camps is intended for participants in the Tashunka Lesson program or receive approval. In this camp, each participant has his or her own horse for the week, and campers take part in all aspects of owning a horse, including feeding, picking stalls and paddock areas, graining, grooming, vet care, riding, horse economics, field trips, and much much more.

Gildenfire Dance offers this camp, perfect for children who love to dance, perform and create! Students will get technique class daily, play creative games and hone thier skills in hula-hooping and basic acrobatics. They will sew and create improvised costumes and props, create a dance to share, paint scenery, design a program and have a performance for friends and family on Friday! This camp is for elementary school students and will take place at our studio. Fee includes a new leotard.

Come and learn the sport of Triathlon. Finish the week with a mini-Triathlon. Everyone wins! Must have a bike in good working condition and be able to swim 25 yards. In person registration at the Community Center begins April 5 or call 206-684-7026 for more information.

Wilderness Awareness School has partnered together with Oxbow Farm, and we are serving up something very special this summer! During this week of daily adventures your child will explore the edge where Farm and Forest meet. In addition to Wilderness Awareness School’s unique day camp experience learning about plants, mammals, tracking, birds and survival skills…we’re down on the farm! Kids will make their own sun tea, fresh fruit popsicles, and farm burritos. They will dig roots and pick fruits, save, sow, and snack on seeds. On the final day, we will harvest produce for an end-of-week Happy Camper Farmers Market! Each day we enjoy storytelling under the Maple Tree, as well as songs, crafts, and play surrounding food, farm and forest life. Camp is held at Oxbow Farm in the Snoqualmie Valley (about 15 minutes from Redmond). It is on a 120-acre property, with 20 acres of certified organic vegetables, berries and tree fruit in cultivation for the fresh market.

It’s official, Hip Hop is sick! This camp will show participants why Hip Hop is "k"ontagious as you move and groove to old-school and current beats in a fun-filled, energetic and supportive environment. This camp provides a structured method of various Hip Hop dance movements and styles that offers a new set of combinations and routines every time. Individual and group participation allows participants to build strength, flexibility and confidence.

Art projects include melted crayon art, tie dye t-shirt, paper mache critter, sun-sensitive paper design, and painted paper owl, mermaid or seascape. Summer comes and goes each year but fashionable wardrobe stapes are forever. In this class the kids learn sewing basics, using patterns and finishing techniques while creating a maxi dress, wrap skirt and cinch purse. Just what every fashionable girl needs in her wardrobe! Please note: This class is for kids who already have a firm understanding of the sewing machine. A materials list will be emailed to you closer to the class date.

This five-night camp is devoted to developing the keen awareness demonstrated by the ancient ”scouts” of many cultures. These were the people who knew the landscape and everything that was happening on it in order to keep their people safe and healthy in the face of the challenges of living from the land. Often remaining invisible, their abilities seemed like magic. Through adventures with camouflage, bird language (the alarm system of the forest), wildlife and human tracking, stealthy movement, and wild edible plants, we begin to enter the world of the scout. Participants in this camp held on our school campus near Duvall will likely never see nature the same way again! Scout Overnight Camp begins at 1 p.m. on Sunday and ends at 12 p.m. on Friday. Parents are encouraged to arrive at 11 a.m. on Friday All youth overnight participants must return a signed Physician’s Medical Form by June 1. This is for the safety of our participants and our organization. Completion of this form will require a physical exam completed within one year of the course date, and an appointment with that physician for the form to be filled out. This brand new two-week version of our classic trip challenges boys to step into young manhood with confidence, consciousness and integrity. Our Coming of Age for Boys trip is a classic, tried and true, deep and amazing way for boys to step into adolescence. We are excited to offer this new and experimental two-week version --- our answer to a call from families for an option that fits more easily into busy lives. As participants sleep under star-filled skies, hike among ancient cedars and dip into cold mountain streams, the rich inner life of a boy awakens. At journey's end, each will bring home the exciting and important story of his own adventure, a greater sense of self-awareness, and new gifts to share with his family and his community. This five night camp is focused on learning wilderness survival skills basics while practicing them daily at our school campus near Duvall. Campers will have opportunities to practice fire making, knife safety and carving, shelter construction and primitive cooking. They may choose to create their own fire kit, spoon, bowl or other similar craft to take home. Participants will also have the opportunity to sleep in shelters they have constructed from natural materials. They are sure to bring home amazing stories from this week with us! Survival Overnight Camp begins at 1 p.m. on Sunday and ends at 12 p.m. on Friday. Parents are encouraged to arrive at 11 a.m. on Friday.
