At Cheer Camp with Eastside Dream Elite, learn to be a cheerleader! This cheer camp is designed for those who want to cheer, jump, and dance. It’s a fun five-day camp where participants will learn to perform cheers and a dance routine. All cheerleaders will receive a camp gift. Calling all future engineers! This week we’ll be designing and building our own creations using Lego kits. We will learn about some of the difficulties that real engineers, like Leonardo da Vinci, faced and the solutions they created in making real machines.

Just like birthdays, slumber parties are a year around event for kids and who doesn't want to show off their new PJ party attire and goodies? In this class the girls will learn basic sewing techniques through making a pair of PJs (with pocket's of course), and a travel pillow with hidden pocket and a fun face on it. If we have enough time we will make a little drawstring tote to carry it all to and fro! A small materials list will be emailed before class.

Learn about planets in far off solar systems and the life forms that might live there. Consider the existence of wormholes and other ‘far out’ ideas.

Come join Seattle's Littlest Performers for a fun-filled summer of singing, dancing and drama! A young girl will wander into a magical forest and be taken to fairytale land where she offers aid to a princess, knight and dragon all trying to find their place in this world. The young girl is skilled in martial arts, and teaches the princess how to take care of herself. She also encourages the knights to befriend the dragons as their trusty companions.

LIGHTS! MUSIC! ART! This week at OmCulture Summer Skills Camp your child will be exploring the intersection of creation and technology as a part of the DIY/Open Source culture. Our Artist in Residence will bring in various technological instruments/toys/techniques for kids to explore and play with. The week will be spent working in groups, interacting with each other and with lights, video, and creative input devices that allow them to control, inspire and design their surroundings. The last day will culminate with a performance-art-lecture by the students, letting them communicate their creations, and interact with the audience as they lead them through the interactive displays.

What would a superhero do? Students will learn the art of developing a storyline and putting together the elements of a comic book: panels, balloons, and pointers. They will complete their project by making a book to house their story. Each camper will have a finished book at the end of the week.

Seattle Drum School Rock Band Camp is an amazing experience for young musicians of any skill level! It's their chance to unlock their creative potential, acquire rehearsal skills, and learn cooperation and teamwork. The band members will work with a full time coach who will encourage them to build their own sound and even to compose their own songs if they're interested! The final performance, the Friday of camp @ 1pm in the L.A.B., is not to be missed by family, friends, neighbors, anyone who loves to see the unbelievable results of five days of collaboration and magic.

Ropeworks’ jump rope camps are directed and run by World Jump Rope Champion and Cirque Du Soleil Artist Rene Bibaud. Boys and girls of all skill levels are invited to participate in our jump rope camps, which teach kids the following disciplines: single rope skills, partner routines, double Dutch, jumping long rope skills, group game choreography and more. Kids work together in a fun and rewarding environment of goal setting, best effort and team building. Play games, learn skills, develop new skills and stay fit in our fun-filled high energy program that really gets kids jumping! Camp culminates with a performance for friends and family.

Our Advanced Day Camps is intended for participants in the Tashunka Lesson program or receive approval. In this camp, each participant has his or her own horse for the week, and campers take part in all aspects of owning a horse, including feeding, picking stalls and paddock areas, graining, grooming, vet care, riding, horse economics, field trips, and much much more.

Gildenfire Dance offers this camp, perfect for children who love to dance, perform and create! Students will get technique class daily, play creative games and hone thier skills in hula-hooping and basic acrobatics. They will sew and create improvised costumes and props, create a dance to share, paint scenery, design a program and have a performance for friends and family on Friday! This camp is for elementary school students and will take place at our studio. Fee includes a new leotard.

Wilderness Awareness School has partnered together with Oxbow Farm, and we are serving up something very special this summer! During this week of daily adventures your child will explore the edge where Farm and Forest meet. In addition to Wilderness Awareness School’s unique day camp experience learning about plants, mammals, tracking, birds and survival skills…we’re down on the farm! Kids will make their own sun tea, fresh fruit popsicles, and farm burritos. They will dig roots and pick fruits, save, sow, and snack on seeds. On the final day, we will harvest produce for an end-of-week Happy Camper Farmers Market! Each day we enjoy storytelling under the Maple Tree, as well as songs, crafts, and play surrounding food, farm and forest life. Camp is held at Oxbow Farm in the Snoqualmie Valley (about 15 minutes from Redmond). It is on a 120-acre property, with 20 acres of certified organic vegetables, berries and tree fruit in cultivation for the fresh market.

Summer comes and goes each year but fashionable wardrobe stapes are forever. In this class the kids learn sewing basics, using patterns and finishing techniques while creating a maxi dress, wrap skirt and cinch purse. Just what every fashionable girl needs in her wardrobe! This five-night camp is devoted to developing the keen awareness demonstrated by the ancient ”scouts” of many cultures. These were the people who knew the landscape and everything that was happening on it in order to keep their people safe and healthy in the face of the challenges of living from the land. Often remaining invisible, their abilities seemed like magic. Through adventures with camouflage, bird language (the alarm system of the forest), wildlife and human tracking, stealthy movement, and wild edible plants, we begin to enter the world of the scout. Participants in this camp held on our school campus near Duvall will likely never see nature the same way again! Scout Overnight Camp begins at 1 p.m. on Sunday and ends at 12 p.m. on Friday. Design Thinking Camp at Lake Washington Girls Middle School uses academic and artistic concepts side by side, to create a stimulating, project-based curriculum. Spend a week learning about concepts such as symmetry, balance, and form that are found naturally in both art and math. Use different art materials and mediums to reinforce these concepts with building and sculpture! At LWGMS we use "design thinking" strategies, such as prototyping, data analysis, and creative problem-solving to create artistic and engineering masterpieces. Oh, Canada! There have been some incredible artists whose music has migrated down from cold Canadian lands. There must be something in the air up there! Students will spend the week learning tunes from Neil Young, Arcade Fire, The Band, and maybe even a little Bachman-Turner Overdrive. There is no shortage of Canadian talent! All Performance Camps run one week with a special performance at a real rock venue on Friday early evening. For Students 8-18, some experience required.

If your teen or preteen loves gardening and working with younger students, this is for them! Junior Counselors help set-up and clean-up garden activities, assist Children's Garden staff, lead small group activities and learn more about organic gardening. Week-long placements offer all the fun of summer camp with the opportunity to develop leadership skills. Jr. Counselors come 30 minutes before campers arrive and stay 30 minutes after campers depart to help set-up and clean-up (these times are built into the listing below). Serevi Rugby summer camps give aspiring and experienced youth rugby players the opportunity to learn, develop and test their running, passing, catching and kicking abilities through several skill based games and activities, scrimmages and a culminating "rugby skills combine." Campers have a fun-filled week of being involved with the many animals at our new Redmond facility, and taking part in hands-on learning about horses, grooming, English or western riding, horse shows or trail rides, and vet care. Camp will be led by one staff person with a maximum of eight participants.

Les Chevaliers! French camp for any level of fluency. Spend two weeks on beautiful Canoe Island, located in the San Juans. Celebrate chivalry, knights, kings, and queens from les Chevaliers de la Table Ronde to the Middle Ages. Learn to fence, become Lancelot or Guinevere in theatrical productions, and practice archery and traditional arts and crafts. Use a trébuchet, and compete in the ring jousting course with your team. At this camp, each camper will have a whole chicken to de-bone. This chicken will be used to create a family meal that will be sent home at the end of the week. We will use every part of the chicken, making chicken sausage, wings for lunch, chicken breast parmesan for the take home dinner.
