According to some legends told by the pyramid builders of Meso-America, a magical place called Aztlan was believed to be their homeland. The stories speak of a place far to the north, with an unimaginable bounty of food and water. Archaeologists have never been able to figure out where this magical kingdom lies. The myths also tell of a secret hieroglyph that shows the way to Aztlan. Can you crack the code and find the lost glyph? Could the lost city be here in the Puget Sound region? Search the forests, marshes, meadows and shorelines for clues to the location of the lost glyph. By popular demand we are doing our very first Double Take: Doll and Girl Outfits. Who doesn't love matching outfits? In this class we will make this super cute tunic dress/tunic for both girl and doll. We will go over sewing basics as well as how to cut out and read a sewing pattern. Come join Seattle's Littlest Performers for a fun-filled summer of singing, dancing and drama! This session will be based around the funny and adorable sequel to The Gruffalo. A little Gruffalo ignores her father's warnings and tiptoes out into the snow in search of the Big Bad Mouse. Children will learn how to walk and express different mannerisms of the different animals in the story. This magical, musical adaptation will bring together theatre, music and some memorable characters to deliver laughs and scary fun for all! It will incorporate original electronic-inspired music.

It’s time to say hello to the amazing world of robotics! Learn about the robots that you have in your home and use every day. Make different rovers that can pick up objects, complete an obstacle course, or engage in exciting tournaments.

The Northwest has been a cauldron of grunge, garage and indie rock. This camp will explore that rich history going way back to the 1960’s with The Sonics, moving forward into the 90’s grunge scene with bands like Mudhoney, and introducing artists making new waves today! All Performance Camps run one week with a special performance at a real rock venue on Friday early evening. For students 8-18, some experience required.

This special session for five and six year old gardeners explores how all the things in the garden work together. Get busy! Get dirty! Discover what lives on the plants and under the mulch. Use tools to tend the garden. Campers will be entering kindergarten or 1st grade in fall 2012 (or equivalent).

Camp Blast Off!: What does it take to get into space? Lots of rocket power! Test out different ‘rockets’ to see which ones will climb the highest. Design your custom space cruiser and then build it. Make and launch a different rocket each day.
