Each Explore Dance! camp is a one-week session designed to introduce young children to dance through simple dance steps, stretching, listening to music and also exploring classical ballet stories that are familiar children's tales through movement and fun craft projects. Each week of camp culminates with a demonstration for family and friends. No audition is required for this program.

For dancers with som experience, this program provides four weeks of comprehensive, pre-professional training in multiple dance styles with the emphasis on classical ballet based on Vaganova method from Russian Ballet Academy, St. Petersburg, Russia. Two-week & One-week sessions are also available ($495-$795). Curriculum includes: Ballet, Pointe, Men's Class, Pas De Deux/Contemporary, Variations, Character, Jazz/Theatre Dance, Modern, Choreography, Mime, Mat/Stretch, History of Dance and Nutrition/Injury Prevention.  The end of each session culminates with informal performance for family and friends. An audition is required for this program, on Saturday, April 27, 2013, or by appointment, with a $25 audition fee.

Travel back through time as we uncover the mysteries left behind by dinosaurs. We’ll study these magnificent prehistoric beasts, dig for dinosaur bones and create our own dinosaur fossils. Become a paleontologist in no time!

One-week athletics camps offered to students entering grades 5 - 9. Camps offered include Boys and Girls Basketball, Boys and Girls Lacrosse, Girls Volleyball, Co-ed Football, Co-ed Soccer and Co-ed Learn-to-Row.

Two-week academic camps for students entering grades 5 - 8. Students will take two classes in the morning, and after lunch spend the afternoon in outdoor activities with camp counselors. A variety of hands-on, project based classes are available, and students may take as many sessions as desired.

Kids will have a blast in this camp! Four days of play and other fun activities in one of Seattle's largest indoor playgrounds. Trikes, cars, riding toys galore, climb structures, obstacle courses, parachute play, craft-making, games, play houses, and more! Summer time is fun time! Have an outstanding time developing your sports skills at a fun filled camp with knowledgeable, enthusiastic staff. Little Champs is focused on the FUNdamentals that are age appropriate and show an emphasis on health and sportsmanship. Campers will be grouped by age.

By popular demand we are doing our very first Double Take: Doll and Girl Outfits. Who doesn't love matching outfits? In this class we will make this super cute tunic dress/tunic for both girl and doll. We will go over sewing basics as well as how to cut out and read a sewing pattern. Please bring: A small materials list will be emailed before class.

Due to the popularity of Mamma Mia offered later in the summer, we are offering the same Mamma Mia camp earlier as well. Sophie is getting married and wants her dad to walk her down the aisle. One problem. Who is her Dad? Everyone from her mom and the other two gals from the 1970?s group Donna and the Dynamos, to bridesmaids, fiancés and loads of wild Greek villagers help her solve this mystery. Stage Struck has made a  loose and kid-friendly adaptation of this hugely popular musical based on the music of the 70?s pop group ABBA. Come party with us to such favorites as  “Dancin’ Queen,” “Take a Chance on Me,” “SOS,” “Super Trooper” and of course “Mamma Mia! ” Performance Friday, July 5, 7 PM. Late start to camp on July 5.

Mathnasium offers summer programs for students of all ages and skill levels. Math camps are a great way to keep the summer slump from happening and are all about helping our students get ready for what lies ahead. For some students that means a comprehensive review of previous material; for others that may mean a preview of what will be coming next year. We provide Jump Start Workouts, Intensive Review, High School Math Prep, and the Early Learners/First Steps programs.

Experience a summer packed full of adventure, crafts, field trips, swimming, friends, educational activities and much more. Each week campers will go on a field trip or have a special guest in the classroom. There will be swimming (weather permitting) and visits to parks and beaches. Every Monday a weekly itinerary will be available with a supply list of what to bring each day. This exciting and musically stimulating camp is for musicians at all levels! Students learn to create, record, and perform songs utilizing Clavinova digital pianos and music software including Garage Band. Campers perform in an end-of-camp concert and receive a CD and DVD of student created songs and music videos. Located at Island Park Elementary School.

Professional game designer Michael Adams has over 20 games on the market with publishers including Cranium, Mattel, Hasbro, and Gamewright. Students will learn to think like an inventor while exploring and playing many genres of games including, dice, deck building, targeting, social, and strategy. Assisted by Michael's guidance and expertise, each child will invent, prototype, play-test, and refine at least one game during the week. Parents will be invited Friday afternoon to a game party to show off all the inventions.

Come join Seattle's Littlest Performers for a fun-filled summer of singing, dancing and drama! This timeless story will come to life in this stage adaptation, which will feature songs from the classic film Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. This high energy musical will take campers on an amazing, fabulous, and sensational journey. This camp session is guaranteed to delight everyone's sweet tooth while enjoying a fantasy ride into the land of pure imagination.

Since 1995, our summer day camps have offered creative play, exploration and adventure, as children work together in small groups gaining nature awareness and experiential knowledge of plants, mammals, tracking, birds and survival skills. Our highly trained instructors guide students into experiences that nurture their connection to the earth and allow them to feel at home in nature. Fun and adventure are only part of the story. Our 1:8 staff-student ratio allows our instructors at our summer day camps to facilitate the development of tangible and intangible skills like teamwork and communication; thankfulness; awareness; patience; common sense; self confidence; problem-solving; and respect for self, each other and nature. These skills are woven invisibly into each of our summer day camps through storytelling, active questioning and engaging nature activities. For example, campers might learn patience through the need to get close to wildlife, or teamwork and communication through the need to quickly build a group shelter. An awe-inspiring marvelous combination of dance, juggling, and acrobatics. Through this class, students will learn how to perform some of those skilled (and sometime hilarious) NANDA-style stage combat moves.

Our Level 1 (beginning) camps are designed for the complete beginner. We provide all the required fencing equipment. Our USFCA certified instructors start at the very beginning with the on guard position and basic footwork. We teach basic offensive and defensive moves, the basic rules of the game of foil fencing, and end with an informal tournament on Friday. Kids' classes play lots of fencing-related games. Junior classes are a little more focused on technique, tactics, and mechanics. Our goal in both camps is to have fun while learning the basics of modern Olympic sports fencing.

Your child will be cared for by trained and competent staff in a small group setting. This camp offers an opportunity for children to be independent thinkers and gain self-esteem. Your child will take part in a variety of enrichment activities that will open the door to discoveries in art, science, nature, cooking, make believe and staying active. It’s time to say hello to the amazing world of robotics! Learn about the robots that you have in your home and use every day. Make different rovers that can pick up objects, complete an obstacle course, or engage in exciting tournaments.

In this 4-day camp, Roosevelt High School Varsity Basketball Coach Bart Brandenburg and current varsity and JV players will work closely with younger players to improve their physical skills and help them to build the mental skills and attitudes that will help them succeed both on and off the court. The camp fee includes a 2013 Collectors Edition Roosevelt Basketball Camp t-shirt. Lunch, snacks and sports drinks will be available for cash purchase each day.

Ropeworks’ jump rope camps are directed and run by World Jump Rope Champion and Cirque Du Soleil Artist Rene Bibaud. Boys and girls of all skill levels are invited to participate in our jump rope camps, which teach kids the following disciplines: single rope skills, partner routines, double Dutch, jumping long rope skills, group game choreography and more. Kids work together in a fun and rewarding environment of goal setting, best effort and team building. Play games, learn skills, develop new skills and stay fit in our fun-filled high energy program that really gets kids jumping! Camp culminates with a performance for friends and family.

Classic Day Camp: Entering grade 1-6 Campers enjoy a variety of age-appropriate activities each day including the flying squirrel activity on our ropes course and water sports.
