Calling all future engineers! This week we’ll be designing and building our own creations using Lego kits. We will learn about some of the difficulties that real engineers, like Leonardo da Vinci, faced and the solutions they created in making real machines.

A Midsummer Night's Dream: Lovers, fairies, and magical fools all converge on a perfect Midsummer’s night to dream together a dream full of promise, intrigue and just pure fun. Join GreenStage in this special opportunity for enrichment and fun this summer. In our one week camps, kids will rehearse and perform an abbreviated version of one of Shakespeare’s plays. Everyone gets a role! Audition and resume tips will be covered and head shots (actor photos) will be taken by a professional photographer. Friday rehearsal goes until 3 pm with the performance starting at 3 pm sharp. Costumes are provided. All you need to provide is a sack lunch and drink daily. Camps are directed by GreenStage teaching staff.

This camp is for any skater age 5 and up who has completed Basic 3. If you are unsure of your level, skaters must be tested at Highland Ice arena prior to admission to the class. Schedule your test with Mrs. Green. Are you ready to Jump Ahead to the next level in your ice skating? Here's the class for you! This one week intensive course will emphasize mastery of the upper levels of USFSA Basic Skills & Freestyle. Skaters will learn turn & edge skills, advanced stroking, teamwork, a group skating program and fun. The class will learn a group number which they will perform for family and friends on Friday at 3:25 pm. Skaters are encouraged to join our Skater Training Program after completing Jump Ahead.

Summer time is fun time! Have an outstanding time developing your sports skills at a fun-filled camp with knowledgeable, enthusiastic staff. Little Champs is focused on the FUNdamentals that are age appropriate and show an emphasis on health and sportsmanship. Campers wil be grouped by age.

Just like birthdays, slumber parties are a year around event for kids and who doesn't want to show off their new PJ party attire and goodies? In this class the girls will learn basic sewing techniques through making a pair of PJs (with pocket's of course), and a travel pillow with hidden pocket and a fun face on it. If we have enough time we will make a little drawstring tote to carry it all to and fro! A small materials list will be emailed before class.

Learn about planets in far off solar systems and the life forms that might live there. Consider the existence of wormholes and other ‘far out’ ideas.

Meadowbrook Church is excited to present Vacation Bible School. Colossal Coaster World will challenge kids to face their fears and trust God as they zip along the roller coaster of life. Through every twist, turn, and dive kids will learn that God has not given them a spirit of fearfulness, but a spirit of power, love and sound judgment. Kids ages 4 years old through those entering the 4th grade will explore Bible stories and concepts through music, discussion, games, crafts and more. Come join Seattle's Littlest Performers for a fun-filled summer of singing, dancing and drama! A young girl will wander into a magical forest and be taken to fairytale land where she offers aid to a princess, knight and dragon all trying to find their place in this world. The young girl is skilled in martial arts, and teaches the princess how to take care of herself. She also encourages the knights to befriend the dragons as their trusty companions.

LIGHTS! MUSIC! ART! This week at OmCulture Summer Skills Camp your child will be exploring the intersection of creation and technology as a part of the DIY/Open Source culture. Our Artist in Residence will bring in various technological instruments/toys/techniques for kids to explore and play with. The week will be spent working in groups, interacting with each other and with lights, video, and creative input devices that allow them to control, inspire and design their surroundings. The last day will culminate with a performance-art-lecture by the students, letting them communicate their creations, and interact with the audience as they lead them through the interactive displays.

Join us for another year of fun-filled outdoor adventure at Magnuson Park! Plant Detectives Camp is filled with hands-on nature exploration, songs, games, and nature crafts. It's designed to encourage curiosity and bonding with the natural world, and to develop big motor skills as well as dexterity. What would a superhero do? Students will learn the art of developing a storyline and putting together the elements of a comic book: panels, balloons, and pointers. They will complete their project by making a book to house their story. Each camper will have a finished book at the end of the week.

Our last camp of the summer is designed for kids ages 8-11 who have had several months of foil instruction either at Rain City Fencing, or at other clubs. It assumes a familiarity with the electrical scoring apparatus, and with bouting. We will focus on various tournament formats, reffing, trouble shooting the equipment, and tactics and strategy. We will be fencing all electric, all week!

Seattle Drum School Rock Band Camp is an amazing experience for young musicians of any skill level! It's their chance to unlock their creative potential, acquire rehearsal skills, and learn cooperation and teamwork. The band members will work with a full time coach who will encourage them to build their own sound and even to compose their own songs if they're interested! The final performance, the Friday of camp @ 1pm in the L.A.B., is not to be missed by family, friends, neighbors, anyone who loves to see the unbelievable results of five days of collaboration and magic.

Ropeworks’ jump rope camps are directed and run by World Jump Rope Champion and Cirque Du Soleil Artist Rene Bibaud. Boys and girls of all skill levels are invited to participate in our jump rope camps, which teach kids the following disciplines: single rope skills, partner routines, double Dutch, jumping long rope skills, group game choreography and more. Kids work together in a fun and rewarding environment of goal setting, best effort and team building. Play games, learn skills, develop new skills and stay fit in our fun-filled high energy program that really gets kids jumping! Camp culminates with a performance for friends and family.

Each week of camp the children work on developing their basic skills: somersaults, cartwheels, bridges, pivot turns, jumps, leaps, and much more. We will also be learning new skills with the Rhythmic gymnastics apparatus: jump rope, ball, hula hoop, and ribbon. Then all of these skills will be beautifully choreographed with music and dance to showcase at the end of the week.

Our Advanced Day Camps is intended for participants in the Tashunka Lesson program or receive approval. In this camp, each participant has his or her own horse for the week, and campers take part in all aspects of owning a horse, including feeding, picking stalls and paddock areas, graining, grooming, vet care, riding, horse economics, field trips, and much much more.

Gildenfire Dance offers this camp, perfect for children who love to dance, perform and create! Students will get technique class daily, play creative games and hone thier skills in hula-hooping and basic acrobatics. They will sew and create improvised costumes and props, create a dance to share, paint scenery, design a program and have a performance for friends and family on Friday! This camp is for elementary school students and will take place at our studio. Fee includes a new leotard.

Camp FANTASTIC FLYING TOYS: Learn about aviation by playing with stomp rockets, rubber band-powered propeller planes, and mechanical birds. Make different paper airplanes and figure out which ones fly the farthest and glide the longest. Use flying toys from around the world like kites, boomerangs, taketombos and more.

Come and learn the sport of Triathlon. Finish the week with a mini-Triathlon. Everyone wins! Must have a bike in good working condition and be able to swim 25 yards. In person registration at the Community Center begins April 5 or call 206-684-7026 for more information.

Kids, bring a sack lunch and a sense of adventure! Each camp will consist of art, cooking, exploring, singing, dancing, and making new friends. Campers have the option to attend a drop-in camp on Friday or you may always choose to drop in for the day on other days ($40).

Wilderness Awareness School has partnered together with Oxbow Farm, and we are serving up something very special this summer! During this week of daily adventures your child will explore the edge where Farm and Forest meet. In addition to Wilderness Awareness School’s unique day camp experience learning about plants, mammals, tracking, birds and survival skills…we’re down on the farm! Kids will make their own sun tea, fresh fruit popsicles, and farm burritos. They will dig roots and pick fruits, save, sow, and snack on seeds. On the final day, we will harvest produce for an end-of-week Happy Camper Farmers Market! Each day we enjoy storytelling under the Maple Tree, as well as songs, crafts, and play surrounding food, farm and forest life. Camp is held at Oxbow Farm in the Snoqualmie Valley (about 15 minutes from Redmond). It is on a 120-acre property, with 20 acres of certified organic vegetables, berries and tree fruit in cultivation for the fresh market.
