Do you know a fashionista designer full of ideas and looking for a place to use them? Send them to Made to learn the fundamentals of fashion design, color, sewing techniques, and fashion illustration. We will work with the designers to create a clothing line based on a central theme of their preference, and then they will sew one of their designs to take home. This is a 3 day camp.

Get ready for some summer fun! Join us for WMS Summer Camp 2013; we have some exciting Elementary Summer Camps planned. Woodinville Montessori School offers summer day camp programs for K-2nd grade and 3rd-6th grade. Ten sessions are available, June 19-August 23. Choose just one week, any combination of weeks, or all ten. Each week is planned around a theme that includes hands-on activities crafted to spark the imagination such as games, cooking projects, sports, building, animation and more. Join us for an adventuresome two-day camp, exploring the diverse ecosystems of Magnuson Park with advanced nature science activities, and learning about native plants and peoples. Coast-to-Coast campers will explore shoreline trails and habitats, Wetlands campers will explore all the wetland trails in the park, and Woodlands campers will explore shady spots from the Kite Hill Forest to Promontory Point. All gardening, all the time. Practice real gardening skills and use every tool in the shed. Learn tool safety and how to use a wide variety of hand tools. Dig a giant hole! Explore the family organic garden in this two-day class for parents and preschoolers. Learn what to plant and how to work together to grow in your own garden. This class introduces children and parents to insects, flowers and the garden world. The session includes gardening, an art project, stories, our famous sun tea and yummy snacks!

Girl Scout Camp is a beautiful and enchanting environment where every girl is encouraged to learn about herself, gain independence and care for the world around her. The possibilities are endless! Choose from Classic, Specialty, Horse and Leadership Camps: * Classic Camp -- Your traditional Girl Scout Camp experience, with a variety of activities like swimming, nature exploration, arts and crafts, and more. Some Classic sessions offer one horse experience, as well. * Horse Camp -- Girls ride most days or every day, depending on the camp, the session and the weather. The Aikido Kids Summer Day Camp is open to students of all skill levels. Students will study Aikido, a self-defense martial art, in a fun, save and supportive environment. We will cover self-defense basics, study the main Aikido skills categories, and develop our inner warrior during the introduction to sword class. Students will develop self-control, self-discipline, focus, and confidence while working with other student in one-on-one partner practice. Students will also take time for other fun activities like jump rope, japanese, speed math, and art projects. We'll also go bicycling every day on outdoor adventures to various Redmond locations including the Sammamish River Trail, the Redmond Library, and Marymoor Park. Students need to provide a bag lunch, and bring their bicycle and helmet for the outdoor adventures.

The Pettijohn Piano Studio offers “Beginner’s Blues” Piano Camp to students with at least two years of piano instruction under their belts. This camp will provide a full week of Blues Piano Instruction. Students who have little or no blues piano background will enjoy instruction that is comprehensive, focused and fun! The week will conclude with the students performing with a professional blues band. Topics include an introduction to the Blues, its history, style and accessibility to any pianist who wants to enjoy its fun. Students will gain confidence as they develop listening skills from ear-training exercises, rhythmic development from group rhythm games, and blues “Chops” from daily private piano lessons and practice time.

In this inspiring program youth will learn: Yoga poses that increase physical strength and self confidence, breathing/meditation methods to help calm your body and mind, nutritional knowledge of how food affects mood, energy and vitality, methods for easy relaxation and stress management, the power of laughter and positive thinking, how to build strong, healthy relationships and creative expression through art and journaling. Join us.

During this camp we will focus on specific regions of the world, Europe, China, The Middle East and South America. We will learn about the food and culture of these regions and learn different cooking methods and tools that are used in these areas. On one day all cooking will be done in Woks and we will attempt to use chopsticks all day, to cook and eat! Campers will take home a six course “small plates” sampler from around the world on Friday.

Grab a rolling pin and put on an apron! We’re going to be sifting, whisking, kneading, mixing and measuring as we bake savory and sweet creations from scratch. You’ll learn skills from the basics of proper measuring and correct utensil use to cake creations, flay pie crusts, the basics of working with yeasted dough and much more!

Aug 19-23 ADVENTURE! (Camping) Hike that trail! What do we need for camping and outdoor fun? Let’s build a tent and discover how to spot animals and other natural life. **Ages 2.5 -5.

Each summer, DigiPen offers two-week workshops that introduce elementary, middle, and high school students to a variety of fun and engaging Video Game Programming, Game Design, Fine Arts and Multimedia Production, and Engineering topics. These programs are offered at DigiPen’s Redmond, WA, campus, located within minutes of Nintendo of America, Microsoft Game Studios, and Valve Software at the heart of the video game industry.
