Students that have attended a Blue Ribbon summer camp, or the equivalent, can join us for an advanced course on classic French cooking. Traditional French techniques are considered to be one of the world's most refined and elegant culinary styles. It is renowned for both its classical ("haute cuisine") and provincial styles. Many of the world's greatest chefs are or were masters of French cuisine. Additionally, French cooking techniques have been a major influence on virtually all Western cuisines, and almost all culinary schools use French cuisine as the basis for all other forms of Western cooking. Supply fee includes: an advanced cookbook, knife case, knife sharpener, diploma, daily gourmet lunch and daily culinary ingredients.

This camp encompasses favorites that are typically inexpensive, uncomplicated, and easy to prepare. In addition to a brief sojourn into ethnic foods, this camp will focus on practical meals and homemade favorites. These dishes are particularly good for young people when they need to keep costs down. Your young chef will rub elbows with many professional chefs all week long becoming competent and proficient in the kitchen by actually practicing hands-on culinary skills with them for five hours a day! Scientists have known that most dinosaur species went extinct about 65 million years ago in the Cretaceous era, but did all of the large dinosaurs disappear? Like the coelacanth, perhaps a megasaur lived much longer than previously thought. The possibility remains that a species of large dinosaur lived into the Miocene era, 20 million years ago, but no evidence has been found to date. Join our expedition team as we search the Puget Sound region in an effort to be the first to discover rare megasaur fossils. Do you have a sharp eye, good puzzle solving skills and a curious mind? Then you are the perfect fit for our exploration team! Join your fellow fossil hunters as we attempt to make history by: - Identifying signs of animal activity - Understanding how fossils are made - Making your own fossil - Learning how to uncover artifacts safely - Taking a journey through geologic time!

Come join us in the fairy ring! This four-day camp is inspired by flowers and fairies from classical ballets and nature. Each day is split equally between dance and art. Culminates in an informal performance and gallery of student artwork.

Designed around a fictional crime scenario at the Seattle Science Foundation, this STEM-focused camp bridges the summer gap for middle school students. Experienced instructors use video, activities and hands-on labs to teach the techniques associated with Crime Scene Investigation, forensic anthropology, fingerprint analysis, hair analysis, serology and DNA fingerprinting. Scientific data, coupled with critical thinking skills (and a few suspect interrogations) are used to solve the crime.

Experience the wonder of nature through the eyes of a dragonfly, the wings of a bird, the ears of a deer, and the feet of a fox. You’ll dip for bugs in our ponds, catch frogs in Sapsucker Creek, and search for snails and snakes in the meadow. Each day will be filled with exploration, activities, games, and art perfectly suited for the budding naturalist.

Explore the world of water through activities, exploration, art, games, and stories all week at Brightwater Center. You will discover how to track a river otter, search for red-legged frogs, catch crayfish, and build a beaver dam. Each day you’ll explore our creeks, ponds, and wetlands that are teeming with plants and wildlife and play games, conduct experiments, and have a great time learning about what makes our aquatic environment so special.

This half-day camp for little ones aims to be a perfect fit for parents and campers. Each week has a creative and educational theme that includes activities, games, arts, crafts, songs and more! Campers must be potty trained.

CMA’s Jazz Camp offers music students the opportunity to spend a week playing with a jazz combo. Professional jazz musicians and educators will coach the groups. Campers can register individually or as a pre-formed combo. Each student will get personal attention on their instrument as well as feedback on what their role is with a jazz combo. There will be sessions on improvisation for students interested in soloing. Rhythm section players will be able to explore voicings, bass lines and different types of time feels associated with jazz. There will be listening examples as well as performances by faculty to demonstrate the key points discussed for each ensemble. This camp will be “hands on.” We work in small groups so each student can build the confidence needed to play jazz. Each combo will record a Youtube video performance at the end of the week. A fun-filled, high-energy drama class designed to foster creativity. We'll learn theater games, act out familiar stories and create our own. The perfect camp for those who love to pretend!

Summer time is fun time! Have an outstanding time developing your sports skills at a fun filled camp with knowledgeable, enthusiastic staff. Little Champs is focused on the FUNdamentals that are age appropriate and show an emphasis on health and sportsmanship. Campers wil be grouped by age.

Seattle may have a lot of rain, but we also have lots of lakes and beaches to play in during the summer. In this two day series kids will make beach necessities, a swimsuit coverup and floppy beach hat. They will learn the basics of sewing on the machine as well as oodles of other sewing techniques. A small materials list will be emailed before class.

This exciting and musically stimulating camp is for musicians at all levels! Students learn to create, record, and perform songs utilizing Clavinova digital pianos and music software including Garage Band. Campers perform in an end-of-camp concert and receive a CD and DVD of student created songs and music videos. Located at Island Park Elementary School.

Come join Seattle's Littlest Performers for a fun-filled summer of singing, dancing and drama! Renowned for his whimsically profound rhymes and outrageous characters, Dr. Seuss’ genius will transcend to the stage during this week-long session. Based on the works of some of his most famous tales and characters from his books will be brought to life, while simultaneously weaving in the music of Elvis. Come join in the fun.

Kids need no experience to sign up and learn partner-movement, juggling, acrobatic movement, tumbling and more! The week of learning and play will culminate with a performance sure to awe and amaze.

Explore the versatility of printmaking using rubber, cardboard and foam just to name a few! Students will learn about design, mixing colors and a variety of ways to create dynamic prints. Working from artists examples to develop a unique visual style, students will create their own collection of images.

The Level 2 camp takes up directly where the Level 1 camp ended. We will add technical and tactical skills with paired drills and group exercises. We will discuss the tactical implications of priority in foil and how that relates to reffing a bout, and we will do more practice bouting with student referees.
