Join GreenStage in this special opportunity for enrichment and fun this summer. In our one week camps, kids will rehearse and perform an abbreviated version of one of Shakespeare’s plays. Everyone gets a role! Audition and resume tips will be covered and head shots (actor photos) will be taken by a professional photographer. Friday rehearsal goes until 3 pm with the performance starting at 3 pm sharp. Costumes are provided. All you need to provide is a sack lunch and drink daily. This camp is for any skater age 5 and up who has completed Basic 3. If you are unsure of your level, skaters must be tested at Highland Ice arena prior to admission to the class. This one week intensive course will emphasize mastery of the upper levels of USFSA Basic Skills & Freestyle. Skaters will learn turn & edge skills, advanced stroking, teamwork, a group skating program and fun. The class will learn a group number which they will perform for family and friends on Friday at 3:25 pm. Skaters are encouraged to join our Skater Training Program after completing Jump Ahead.

Just like birthdays, slumber parties are a year around event for kids and who doesn't want to show off their new PJ party attire and goodies? In this class the girls will learn basic sewing techniques through making a pair of PJs (with pocket's of course), and a travel pillow with hidden pocket and a fun face on it. If we have enough time we will make a little drawstring tote to carry it all to and fro! A small materials list will be emailed before class.

Learn about planets in far off solar systems and the life forms that might live there. Consider the existence of wormholes and other ‘far out’ ideas.

Come join Seattle's Littlest Performers for a fun-filled summer of singing, dancing and drama! A young girl will wander into a magical forest and be taken to fairytale land where she offers aid to a princess, knight and dragon all trying to find their place in this world. The young girl is skilled in martial arts, and teaches the princess how to take care of herself. She also encourages the knights to befriend the dragons as their trusty companions.

LIGHTS! MUSIC! ART! This week at OmCulture Summer Skills Camp your child will be exploring the intersection of creation and technology as a part of the DIY/Open Source culture. Our Artist in Residence will bring in various technological instruments/toys/techniques for kids to explore and play with. Insects are our friends. Dive into a fantastic exploration of garden insects. Learn anatomy, build bug houses and discover how to invite beneficial insects to your own garden. Explore the family organic garden in this two-day class for parents and preschoolers. Learn what to plant and how to work together to grow in your own garden. This class introduces children and parents to insects, flowers and the garden world. The session includes gardening, an art project, stories, our famous sun tea and yummy snacks!

Each week of camp the children work on developing their basic skills: somersaults, cartwheels, bridges, pivot turns, jumps, leaps, and much more. We will also be learning new skills with the Rhythmic gymnastics apparatus: jump rope, ball, hula hoop, and ribbon. Then all of these skills will be beautifully choreographed with music and dance to showcase at the end of the week.

Our Advanced Day Camps is intended for participants in the Tashunka Lesson program or receive approval. In this camp, each participant has his or her own horse for the week, and campers take part in all aspects of owning a horse, including feeding, picking stalls and paddock areas, graining, grooming, vet care, riding, horse economics, field trips, and much much more.

Gildenfire Dance offers this camp, perfect for children who love to dance, perform and create! Students will get technique class daily, play creative games and hone thier skills in hula-hooping and basic acrobatics. They will sew and create improvised costumes and props, create a dance to share, paint scenery, design a program and have a performance for friends and family on Friday! This camp is for elementary school students and will take place at our studio. Fee includes a new leotard.

Camp FANTASTIC FLYING TOYS: Learn about aviation by playing with stomp rockets, rubber band-powered propeller planes, and mechanical birds. Make different paper airplanes and figure out which ones fly the farthest and glide the longest. Use flying toys from around the world like kites, boomerangs, taketombos and more.

Wilderness Awareness School has partnered together with Oxbow Farm, and we are serving up something very special this summer! During this week of daily adventures your child will explore the edge where Farm and Forest meet. In addition to Wilderness Awareness School’s unique day camp experience learning about plants, mammals, tracking, birds and survival skills…we’re down on the farm! Kids will make their own sun tea, fresh fruit popsicles, and farm burritos. They will dig roots and pick fruits, save, sow, and snack on seeds. On the final day, we will harvest produce for an end-of-week Happy Camper Farmers Market! Each day we enjoy storytelling under the Maple Tree, as well as songs, crafts, and play surrounding food, farm and forest life. Camp is held at Oxbow Farm in the Snoqualmie Valley (about 15 minutes from Redmond). It is on a 120-acre property, with 20 acres of certified organic vegetables, berries and tree fruit in cultivation for the fresh market.

This camp will show participants why Hip Hop is "k"ontagious as you move and groove to old-school and current beats in a fun-filled, energetic and supportive environment. This camp provides a structured method of various Hip Hop dance movements and styles that offers a new set of combinations and routines every time. Design Thinking Camp at Lake Washington Girls Middle School uses academic and artistic concepts side by side, to create a stimulating, project-based curriculum. Spend a week learning about concepts such as symmetry, balance, and form that are found naturally in both art and math. Oh, Canada! There have been some incredible artists whose music has migrated down from cold Canadian lands. There must be something in the air up there! Students will spend the week learning tunes from Neil Young, Arcade Fire, The Band, and maybe even a little Bachman-Turner Overdrive. There is no shortage of Canadian talent! All Performance Camps run one week with a special performance at a real rock venue on Friday early evening. For Students 8-18, some experience required.

Ever wanted to learn how to throw a punch, fall down, or start a brawl onstage? Now's your chance to learn! This one week class is a crash course on stage combat, the art of safely portraying violence in a story on stage. You'll learn basic moves and techniques, practice unarmed fights, then work the fights into scenes to be performed for friends and family (Friday 3 p.m.). * Note: This class may be an outdoor class (held on the lawns outside the theater), so be prepared and dress for the weather.

Spend five days developing practical garden skills, exploring plants and discovering animals that live in Seattle Tilth's community learning gardens and Meridian Park. This camp is intended for campers entering grades 1-4 in fall 2013.

If your teen or preteen loves gardening and working with younger students, this is for them! Junior Counselors help set-up and clean-up garden activities, assist Children's Garden staff, lead small group activities and learn more about organic gardening. Week-long placements offer all the fun of summer camp with the opportunity to develop leadership skills. Jr. Counselors come 30 minutes before campers arrive and stay 30 minutes after campers depart to help set-up and clean-up (these times are built into the listing below).
