This session is designed specifically for campers who already have some riding experience, with at least fifteen hours of independent, self-controlled riding under their belt (lessons or other experience), or one prior Ekone Summer Camp session. Intermediate session campers are aged 10-18, with a maximum group size of 24 and a minimum staff:camper ratio of 1:5.  This is a co-ed session.

The highlight of this tour is a two-day Panda volunteer experience to care and interact with pandas in Bifengxia. Your family will gain knowledge about the panda through working and interacting with them. In addition, you will visit some of the best-loved travel destinations in China, such as the Great Wall and the Terracotta Warriors. This tour gives you the chance to immerse yourself in local customs and culture by exploring Beijing’s narrow alleyways (Hutongs), making dumplings with a local family, learning traditional handicrafts, and seeing folk shows. On this cultural immersion trip you’ll also visit a famous dinosaur museum, go bike riding, practice taiji, and much more! Note: Dates subject to confirmation.

La Révolution Française! French camp for any level of fluency. Spend two weeks on beautiful Canoe Island, located in the San Juans. Storm the barricades (with water balloons), sing La Marseillaise, and become Louis XVI or Marie Antoinette for a day. Or be a peasant and demand your rights as you issue your doléances to the king. Search the island for the royalty before bringing them to justice. Participate in the July 4th parade in Friday Harbor and watch the fireworks over Lopez Island. The All-Level Horse Camp sessions have a maximum group size of 24 and a minimum staff:camper ratio of 1:5.  Most sessions are co-ed, but this is our one session reserved for girls only. This is both to provide an exclusive session for girls seeking all-girl company, and to concentrate our smaller numbers of boys into fewer sessions so that those sessions have more gender balance.

Girl Scout Camp is a beautiful and enchanting environment where every girl is encouraged to learn about herself, gain independence and care for the world around her. The possibilities are endless! Choose from Classic, Specialty, Horse and Leadership Camps: * Classic Camp -- Your traditional Girl Scout Camp experience, with a variety of activities like swimming, nature exploration, arts and crafts, and more. Some Classic sessions offer one horse experience, as well. * Horse Camp -- Girls ride most days or every day, depending on the camp, the session and the weather. This three-week backpacking program challenges boys to develop into solid young men, like heroes in their own life Journey. As participants sleep under star-filled skies and hike among ancient cedars the rich inner life of the young man awakens. At journey's end, each will bring home the exciting and important story of his own adventure, a greater sense of self-awareness, and new gifts to share with his family and his community. All of our wilderness programs are limited to 9 participants out of respect for the wild places that we visit. The ELITE program is a wonderful opportunity for high school students to work within a team and make new friends while earning volunteer hours for school- all within SAMBICA's unique outdoor setting. With two levels, Alpha and Omega, your teenager can grow within the program all throughout high school!

Seattle Audubon offers hands-on, nature-focused day camps for children entering 1st – 6th grade, and overnight camps for students entering 7th – 9th grades. Come discover, explore, and learn more about the natural world around us! We also have volunteer opportunities for high school students (entering 10th - 12th grade) through our Junior Naturalist in Training Program. Teens learn the skills of a naturalist and help teach campers about the environment while getting community service hours. The All-Level Horse Camp sessions have a maximum group size of 24 and a minimum staff:camper ratio of 1:5.  This is one of our co-ed sessions.

This brand new, 3-night camp is a perfect opportunity for budding naturalists to follow their curiosity and go further with the skills and discoveries that they loved at our day camps. Whether your child is attending overnight camp for the first time, or has been to our overnight camps multiple times, the Naturalist Overnight is intended to be an opportunity for your child to learn more of the foundational skills of ecology and natural history! While exploring the forest around Linne Doran (Pond of the Otter) -- our school campus near Duvall -- students and staff at this camp will have opportunities to track the local wildlife, perhaps making plaster casts of their tracks, and to use both field guides and common sense to identify the tracks and sign that wildlife leave behind. Campers will have the opportunity to rise early, sitting with the birds during the dawn chorus and then creating observation-based maps which will begin to reveal what’s going on in “the neighborhood” of the forest. Sustainable harvesting techniques will be taught, and wild plants will be harvested for food and medicine. Campers will have the opportunity to create and begin to use their very own nature journals which can become tools for further learning as well as an opportunity to creatively capture their discoveries. Rounding out the camp experience will be plenty of adventurous exploration, stories around the fire at night, and the formation of a strong sense of community. Participants in this camp will experience the fantastic learning routines that have helped our adult students develop amazing naturalist skills and will leave with ideas of how to continue their journey at home. All youth overnight participants must return a signed Physician’s Medical Form by June 1. This is for the safety of our participants and our organization. Completion of this form will require a physical exam completed within one year of the course date, and an appointment with that physician for the form to be filled out. We appreciate your understanding.

Form  your own colony, make fire with flint and steel, and venture to  neighboring islands as you explore the traditions and travels of the French Voyageurs and Native Americans. Share gifts in a potlatch, shoot bows and arrows, do traditional arts and crafts, and cook outdoors. Overnight trips by kayak, canoe, sailboat, or hiking are offered this session. Celebrate Bastille Day and follow the Tour de France bicycle race.
