It’s time to express yourself! We’ll create our own masterpieces while learning about colors, shapes, textures, sculpture and wearable art.

Finally, time to wear something other than a parka! To get our summer season jumping we have a brand new kids' summer camp dedicated to, well, summer! In this class the kids will learning basic sewing techniques while finishing a super cute wrap skirt and board shorts to wear at the beach. For the boys we will make two board shorts with pockets. A small materials list will be emailed out prior to class.

Join Jake Harris and the ZeroWaste Team to create an entire ecosystem of ocean creatures for this year's Fremont Summer Solstice Parade using Recycled Materials! Campers will learn how to use costumes and humor to raise awareness about critical environmental issues, and have a lot of fun creating and performing in a solstice parade entry.

The Explorer West Summer Arts Improvisation Camp - Theatre, Circus, Fine Arts, Dancing and Singing. The theme of our camp is improvisation and interconnected art. This is a two-week performing and fine arts camp and all students are welcome; you need not be an Explorer West student. During camp, students will explore dance, acting, circus arts, music, and fine arts in the theme of improvisation. How does a painting inspire a work of dance? How does a song inspire a scene? Students will create their own world of art in a camp that is designed for any skill level. Students will work towards a one-of-a-kind student created final performance for families and friends. Please contact the school for registration forms and additional information.

Do you know a fashionista designer full of ideas and looking for a place to use them? Send them to Made to learn the fundamentals of fashion design, color, sewing techniques, and fashion illustration. We will work with the designers to create a clothing line based on a central theme of their preference, and then they will sew one of their designs to take home. This is a 3 day camp.

Get ready for some summer fun! Join us for WMS Summer Camp 2013; we have some exciting Elementary Summer Camps planned. Woodinville Montessori School offers summer day camp programs for K-2nd grade and 3rd-6th grade. Ten sessions are available, June 19-August 23. Choose just one week, any combination of weeks, or all ten. Each week is planned around a theme that includes hands-on activities crafted to spark the imagination such as games, cooking projects, sports, building, animation and more. 'Up in the Sky': We will explore, dance, and sing about all things above us: sunshine, kites, birds, stars, butterflies and clouds! A focus on colors and counting complements the musical lessons. Your child can continue the theme of Up in the Sky with an experienced art instructor exploring art materials in 3-dimensional form, such as clay, decoupage, paper mache and more! Available Thursday or Friday mornings 6/20-7/19 (no class week of July 4th). Ages 1.5-3: Caregiver participation required. By popular demand we are doing our very first Double Take: Doll and Girl Outfits. Who doesn't love matching outfits? In this class we will make this super cute tunic dress/tunic for both girl and doll. We will go over sewing basics as well as how to cut out and read a sewing pattern. Please bring: A small materials list will be emailed before class.

Experience a summer packed full of adventure, crafts, field trips, swimming, friends, educational activities and much more. Each week campers will go on a field trip or have a special guest in the classroom. There will be swimming (weather permitting) and visits to parks and beaches. Every Monday a weekly itinerary will be available with a supply list of what to bring each day. Campers will need to bring a lunch and water bottle every day. Campers must have completed kindergarten.
