Ekone Ranch offers a one-of-a-kind camp program on 1060 acres of canyonlands, forests and meadows near the Columbia Gorge. Our residential, co-ed camp program features small groups of no more than 20 children per session and a 6:1 camper/staff ratio or better. Horse camp sessions emphasize the special relationship between children and horses. Campers spend many hours each day with our wonderful horses, grooming, learning groundwork, practicing in the arena, and going on long trail rides through spectacular country. We ride bareback and western. When not with the horses, campers are engaged in a variety of art projects, nature explorations, swimming, ranch activities and chores. Our garden-fresh, from-scratch food is a highlight of the camp experience (many a camper has learned to love their vegetables in the Yummy Tummy Cafe). Campers sleep in our A-frame longhouse, in tipis, under the stars, or in the hay barn where we listen to the horses breathe all night long. This session is designed specifically for campers who already have some riding experience, with at least fifteen hours of independent, self-controlled riding under their belt (lessons or other experience), or one prior Ekone Summer Camp session. Intermediate session campers are aged 10-18, with a maximum group size of 24 and a minimum staff:camper ratio of 1:5.  This is a co-ed session.

Camp Explorations is an 11-week day camp program for children ages 5-12. Campers are divided into groups based on their grade levels in school. Themes change each week to ensure every child finds something of interest. Special visitors and field trips are offered nearly every week. Dupont Kids Fitness' weekly summer camps offer non-competitive sports and nutrition education for campers. Our coaching staff are required to be certificated teachers and they provide high quality lessons throughout the week. Campers will have the opportunity to particiate in bike hikes, parks tours, library visits, nutritious cooking class, and many more fun and exciting health and fitness related activities throughout the summer.

Since ancient times there have been legends that tell of those that could communicate with the trees. Different trees were said to have different powers, and if you could communicate with the trees you could learn their powers. Join Jake Harris and the ZeroWaste Team to create an entire ecosystem of ocean creatures for this year's Fremont Summer Solstice Parade using Recycled Materials! Campers will learn how to use costumes and humor to raise awareness about critical environmental issues, and have a lot of fun creating and performing in a solstice parade entry.

Have you ever wanted to know why the sky is blue, how fast a worm can travel, or what makes our hearts beat? In this week of hands-on science, campers will do experiments, learn the process of scientific inquiry, and discover fascinating facts about the world’s most interesting scientific topics. During our field trip to the Kids in Medicine laboratory at the Seattle Science Foundation, we will dissect a pig heart in the bioskills lab to learn about body systems and medicine.

Get ready for some summer fun! Join us for WMS Summer Camp 2013; we have some exciting Elementary Summer Camps planned. Woodinville Montessori School offers summer day camp programs for K-2nd grade and 3rd-6th grade. Ten sessions are available, June 19-August 23. Choose just one week, any combination of weeks, or all ten. Each week is planned around a theme that includes hands-on activities crafted to spark the imagination such as games, cooking projects, sports, building, animation and more. Explore the family organic garden in this two-day class for parents and preschoolers. Learn what to plant and how to work together to grow in your own garden. This class introduces children and parents to insects, flowers and the garden world. The session includes gardening, an art project, stories, our famous sun tea and yummy snacks!

The highlight of this tour is a two-day Panda volunteer experience to care and interact with pandas in Bifengxia. Your family will gain knowledge about the panda through working and interacting with them. In addition, you will visit some of the best-loved travel destinations in China, such as the Great Wall and the Terracotta Warriors. This tour gives you the chance to immerse yourself in local customs and culture by exploring Beijing’s narrow alleyways (Hutongs), making dumplings with a local family, learning traditional handicrafts, and seeing folk shows.
