We are very excited to bring you our lineup of workshops for our Summer of Awesomeness for middle school students this year. We know that many simply want to stay home and "chill," so a An Epic Summer of Awesomeness is what it takes! Some will be day get-togethers, some are evening hang-outs, and a few are all day, week long, traditional camps. Whether students are interested in music, technology, art, hiking, design, or gaming, Seabury has it. For all Middle Schoolers!

La Révolution Française! French camp for any level of fluency. Spend two weeks on beautiful Canoe Island, located in the San Juans. Storm the barricades (with water balloons), sing La Marseillaise, and become Louis XVI or Marie Antoinette for a day. Or be a peasant and demand your rights as you issue your doléances to the king. Search the island for the royalty before bringing them to justice. Participate in the July 4th parade in Friday Harbor and watch the fireworks over Lopez Island. Learn how the American Revolution helped to instigate the French Revolution.

Ekone Ranch offers a one-of-a-kind camp program on 1060 acres of canyonlands, forests and meadows near the Columbia Gorge. Our residential, co-ed camp program features small groups of no more than 20 children per session and a 6:1 camper/staff ratio or better. Horse camp sessions emphasize the special relationship between children and horses. Campers spend many hours each day with our wonderful horses, grooming, learning groundwork, practicing in the arena, and going on long trail rides through spectacular country. We ride bareback and western. When not with the horses, campers are engaged in a variety of art projects, nature explorations, swimming, ranch activities and chores. Our garden-fresh, from-scratch food is a highlight of the camp experience (many a camper has learned to love their vegetables in the Yummy Tummy Cafe). Campers sleep in our A-frame longhouse, in tipis, under the stars, or in the hay barn where we listen to the horses breathe all night long. The All-Level Horse Camp sessions have a maximum group size of 24 and a minimum staff:camper ratio of 1:5.  Most sessions are co-ed, but this is our one session reserved for girls only. This is both to provide an exclusive session for girls seeking all-girl company, and to concentrate our smaller numbers of boys into fewer sessions so that those sessions have more gender balance.

Everything you want in a summer adventure! Girl Scout Camp is a beautiful and enchanting environment where every girl is encouraged to learn about herself, gain independence and care for the world around her. The possibilities are endless! Choose from Classic, Specialty, Horse and Leadership Camps: * Classic Camp -- Your traditional Girl Scout Camp experience, with a variety of activities like swimming, nature exploration, arts and crafts, and more. Some Classic sessions offer one horse experience, as well. * Horse Camp -- Girls ride most days or every day, depending on the camp, the session and the weather. Each session can accommodate beginning, intermediate and advanced riders. * Specialty Camp -- Opportunities for girls in grades 4-12 to focus on a specific skill (like archery), experience something new (like spending a night at Woodland Park Zoo) or go on an expedition (like a three day kayak trip). * Leadership Camp -- Not only our Counselor-in-Training and Wrangler-in-Training programs, but also opportunities for any girl who wants to explore her leadership style and learn about group dynamics. Every Girl Scout camp starts with a girl planning session, where campers and staff sit down to choose the activities the girls are most interested in doing from the wide variety of opportunities. At Girl Scout Camp you'll make new friends, develop skills and enjoy new experiences that will travel with you for a lifetime. No Girl Scout experience required!

A call to adventure beckons each of us toward an experience that extends beyond our level of comfort and current understanding. This backpacking program is fun, exciting and a significant first step on the Hero(ine)'s Journey. Leadership, responsibility, communication --- these are just some of the skills that are called forth and developed to bring a sense of community into the practical tasks, in the sharing circles around the fire, and in the fun and joy of playing together. Our wilderness programs are limited to 9 participants out of respect for the wild places that we travel. Apply early for the Call to Adventure to ensure that your child has this wonderful experience. The Call to Adventure will also be offered July 21 - July 27, 2013.

This three-week backpacking program challenges boys to develop into solid young men, like heroes in their own life Journey. As participants sleep under star-filled skies and hike among ancient cedars the rich inner life of the young man awakens. At journey's end, each will bring home the exciting and important story of his own adventure, a greater sense of self-awareness, and new gifts to share with his family and his community. All of our wilderness programs are limited to 9 participants out of respect for the wild places that we visit. The ELITE program is a wonderful opportunity for high school students to work within a team and make new friends while earning volunteer hours for school- all within SAMBICA's unique outdoor setting. With two levels, Alpha and Omega, your teenager can grow within the program all throughout high school!

The Aikido Kids Summer Day Camp is open to students of all skill levels. Students will study Aikido, a self-defense martial art, in a fun, save and supportive environment. We will cover self-defense basics, study the main Aikido skills categories, and develop our inner warrior during the introduction to sword class. Students will develop self-control, self-discipline, focus, and confidence while working with other student in one-on-one partner practice. Students will also take time for other fun activities like jump rope, japanese, speed math, and art projects. We'll also go bicycling every day on outdoor adventures to various Redmond locations including the Sammamish River Trail, the Redmond Library, and Marymoor Park. Students need to provide a bag lunch, and bring their bicycle and helmet for the outdoor adventures.

Five sessions of weekly classes including art, woodworking, drama, baking, sports, animation, lego and more! Open to children entering grades K - entering 6th grade. See website for full details and course selections.

July 22-26 PLAY! (Sports) Explore balance, movement, hand/eye coordination and discover new skills and games. Step feet first into athletics and fun! Learn about team work and sportsmanship while having a great time. 

July 29-Aug 2 ZOOM! (Transportation) Planes, trains, and automobiles are just the tip of the iceberg in this week of wheels and wings, when we’ll investigate all manner of the machines that move us. 

Aug 5-9 MAKE! (Art, Building, & Creating) Here’s a camp for the mini-Monet’s and pint-sized Picassos out there! Get those creative juices flowing as we sample a variety of media to express our unique artistic visions. **Ages 2.5 -5.

Aug 12-16 EXPERIMENT! (Science) Curious minds, prepare to be fired up in this week of exploration and experimentation, when we’ll put the basic tools and processes of science to the test in our own “laboratory.” **Ages 2.5 -5.

Aug 19-23 ADVENTURE! (Camping) Hike that trail! What do we need for camping and outdoor fun? Let’s build a tent and discover how to spot animals and other natural life. **Ages 2.5 -5.

Each summer, DigiPen offers two-week workshops that introduce elementary, middle, and high school students to a variety of fun and engaging Video Game Programming, Game Design, Fine Arts and Multimedia Production, and Engineering topics. These programs are offered at DigiPen’s Redmond, WA, campus, located within minutes of Nintendo of America, Microsoft Game Studios, and Valve Software at the heart of the video game industry.

Discovery Days - where imagination comes alive...at camp. This day is part of the Seattle Children's Museum Summer Camp program which provides a create-your-own summer opportunity for families to select their own combination of single, half-day or full-day camps throughout June, July and August. The waters of the Earth are in jeopardy. Poseidon, protector of the seas, is returning to see how humans have been caring for the oceans for the last thousand years. Find the hidden clues and follow them to reveal the Jewel Keeper. Only if you acquire the necessary knowledge will your team be rewarded with a Jewel of Light. Call Poseidon up from the depths and return to him the Jewels for safekeeping for the next millennium. Along the way you will encounter many challenges and surprises. Combine the strengths of your fellow adventurers to solve riddles and make decisions that will affect the outcome of your quest. Use science techniques like: - Test water for temperature and pH - Observe zooplankton and phytoplankton - Explore a living tide pool - Look for hidden aquatic pollutants - Learn how to use a map and compass.

Imagine the perfect summer day…explore the barnyard, hike a leaf-canopied trail, play active outdoor games, create multi-media art and make new friends. The strength of our camp stems from our small group sizes allowing personal attention to each child. Each week offers a variety of activities in which children’s interests are stimulated. Weekly field trip provided to a City of Bellevue beach or local place of interest. If extended care is needed please sign-up when you register for camp.
