Ekone Ranch offers a one-of-a-kind camp program on 1060 acres of canyonlands, forests and meadows near the Columbia Gorge. Our residential, co-ed camp program features small groups of no more than 20 children per session and a 6:1 camper/staff ratio or better. Horse camp sessions emphasize the special relationship between children and horses. Campers spend many hours each day with our wonderful horses, grooming, learning groundwork, practicing in the arena, and going on long trail rides through spectacular country. We ride bareback and western. When not with the horses, campers are engaged in a variety of art projects, nature explorations, swimming, ranch activities and chores. This session is designed specifically for campers who already have some riding experience, with at least fifteen hours of independent, self-controlled riding under their belt (lessons or other experience), or one prior Ekone Summer Camp session. Intermediate session campers are aged 10-18, with a maximum group size of 24 and a minimum staff:camper ratio of 1:5.  This is a co-ed session.

Camp Explorations is an 11-week day camp program for children ages 5-12. Campers are divided into groups based on their grade levels in school. Themes change each week to ensure every child finds something of interest. Special visitors and field trips are offered nearly every week. Dupont Kids Fitness' weekly summer camps offer non-competitive sports and nutrition education for campers. Our coaching staff are required to be certificated teachers and they provide high quality lessons throughout the week. Campers will have the opportunity to particiate in bike hikes, parks tours, library visits, nutritious cooking class, and many more fun and exciting health and fitness related activities throughout the summer.

Since ancient times there have been legends that tell of those that could communicate with the trees. Different trees were said to have different powers, and if you could communicate with the trees you could learn their powers. Join Jake Harris and the ZeroWaste Team to create an entire ecosystem of ocean creatures for this year's Fremont Summer Solstice Parade using Recycled Materials! Campers will learn how to use costumes and humor to raise awareness about critical environmental issues, and have a lot of fun creating and performing in a solstice parade entry.

Get ready for some summer fun! Join us for WMS Summer Camp 2013; we have some exciting Elementary Summer Camps planned. Woodinville Montessori School offers summer day camp programs for K-2nd grade and 3rd-6th grade. Ten sessions are available, June 19-August 23. Choose just one week, any combination of weeks, or all ten. Each week is planned around a theme that includes hands-on activities crafted to spark the imagination such as games, cooking projects, sports, building, animation and more. Explore the family organic garden in this two-day class for parents and preschoolers. Learn what to plant and how to work together to grow in your own garden. This class introduces children and parents to insects, flowers and the garden world. The session includes gardening, an art project, stories, our famous sun tea and yummy snacks!

The highlight of this tour is a two-day Panda volunteer experience to care and interact with pandas in Bifengxia. Your family will gain knowledge about the panda through working and interacting with them. In addition, you will visit some of the best-loved travel destinations in China, such as the Great Wall and the Terracotta Warriors. This tour gives you the chance to immerse yourself in local customs and culture by exploring Beijing’s narrow alleyways (Hutongs), making dumplings with a local family, learning traditional handicrafts, and seeing folk shows. The All-Level Horse Camp sessions have a maximum group size of 24 and a minimum staff:camper ratio of 1:5.  Most sessions are co-ed, but this is our one session reserved for girls only. This is both to provide an exclusive session for girls seeking all-girl company, and to concentrate our smaller numbers of boys into fewer sessions so that those sessions have more gender balance.

Everything you want in a summer adventure! Girl Scout Camp is a beautiful and enchanting environment where every girl is encouraged to learn about herself, gain independence and care for the world around her. The possibilities are endless! Choose from Classic, Specialty, Horse and Leadership Camps: * Classic Camp -- Your traditional Girl Scout Camp experience, with a variety of activities like swimming, nature exploration, arts and crafts, and more. Some Classic sessions offer one horse experience, as well. * Horse Camp -- Girls ride most days or every day, depending on the camp, the session and the weather. A call to adventure beckons each of us toward an experience that extends beyond our level of comfort and current understanding. This backpacking program is fun, exciting and a significant first step on the Hero(ine)'s Journey. Leadership, responsibility, communication --- these are just some of the skills that are called forth and developed to bring a sense of community into the practical tasks, in the sharing circles around the fire, and in the fun and joy of playing together. Our wilderness programs are limited to 9 participants out of respect for the wild places that we travel. Apply early for the Call to Adventure to ensure that your child has this wonderful experience. The Call to Adventure will also be offered July 21 - July 27, 2013.

This three-week backpacking program challenges boys to develop into solid young men, like heroes in their own life Journey. As participants sleep under star-filled skies and hike among ancient cedars the rich inner life of the young man awakens. At journey's end, each will bring home the exciting and important story of his own adventure, a greater sense of self-awareness, and new gifts to share with his family and his community. All of our wilderness programs are limited to 9 participants out of respect for the wild places that we visit. The Aikido Kids Summer Day Camp is open to students of all skill levels. Students will study Aikido, a self-defense martial art, in a fun, save and supportive environment. We will cover self-defense basics, study the main Aikido skills categories, and develop our inner warrior during the introduction to sword class. Students will develop self-control, self-discipline, focus, and confidence while working with other student in one-on-one partner practice. Students will also take time for other fun activities like jump rope, japanese, speed math, and art projects. We'll also go bicycling every day on outdoor adventures to various Redmond locations including the Sammamish River Trail, the Redmond Library, and Marymoor Park. Students need to provide a bag lunch, and bring their bicycle and helmet for the outdoor adventures.

Combine the strengths of your fellow adventurers to solve riddles and make decisions that will affect the outcome of your quest. Use science techniques like: - Test water for temperature and pH - Observe zooplankton and phytoplankton - Explore a living tide pool - Look for hidden aquatic pollutants - Learn how to use a map and compass.

Travel back through time as we uncover the mysteries left behind by dinosaurs. We’ll study these magnificent prehistoric beasts, dig for dinosaur bones and create our own dinosaur fossils. Become a paleontologist in no time!

Two-week academic camps for students entering grades 5 - 8. Students will take two classes in the morning, and after lunch spend the afternoon in outdoor activities with camp counselors. A variety of hands-on, project based classes are available, and students may take as many sessions as desired.

Kids will have a blast in this camp! Four days of play and other fun activities in one of Seattle's largest indoor playgrounds. Trikes, cars, riding toys galore, climb structures, obstacle courses, parachute play, craft-making, games, play houses, and more! Our 1:8 staff-student ratio allows our instructors at our summer day camps to facilitate the development of tangible and intangible skills like teamwork and communication; thankfulness; awareness; patience; common sense; self confidence; problem-solving; and respect for self, each other and nature. These skills are woven invisibly into each of our summer day camps through storytelling, active questioning and engaging nature activities. For example, campers might learn patience through the need to get close to wildlife, or teamwork and communication through the need to quickly build a group shelter. An awe-inspiring marvelous combination of dance, juggling, and acrobatics. Through this class, students will learn how to perform some of those skilled (and sometime hilarious) NANDA-style stage combat moves.

Your child will be cared for by trained and competent staff in a small group setting. This camp offers an opportunity for children to be independent thinkers and gain self-esteem. Your child will take part in a variety of enrichment activities that will open the door to discoveries in art, science, nature, cooking, make believe and staying active. Seattle Audubon offers hands-on, nature-focused day camps for children entering 1st – 6th grade, and overnight camps for students entering 7th – 9th grades. Come discover, explore, and learn more about the natural world around us! We also have volunteer opportunities for high school students (entering 10th - 12th grade) through our Junior Naturalist in Training Program. Teens learn the skills of a naturalist and help teach campers about the environment while getting community service hours. Explore traditional materials and methods used by early settlers and first people. Learn the lore and medicinal uses of common weeds and native plants. Create a naturalist's journal to keep recipes and memories. This theme-based weeklong day camp is a great way to have summer fun while learning about the fascinating world of the garden. Spend five days developing practical garden skills, exploring plants and discovering animals that live in Seattle Tilth's community learning gardens and Meridian Park. This camp is intended for those entering grades 1-4 in fall 2013.

If your teen or preteen loves gardening and working with younger students, this is for them! Junior Counselors help set-up and clean-up garden activities, assist Children's Garden staff, lead small group activities and learn more about organic gardening. Week-long placements offer all the fun of summer camp with the opportunity to develop leadership skills. Jr. Counselors come 30 minutes before campers arrive and stay 30 minutes after campers depart to help set-up and clean-up (these times are built into the listing below). Leadership training and orientation will be provided.

In this week-long drama camp, we will learn the tricks of the trade, from stage terms to make-up, costumes, and props. Campers will play improvisation and drama games, learn how to read a script with a discerning eye, and deliver lines with Oscar-worthy expression. With the help of experienced actors and drama teachers, we will put on a production of dramatic proportions.

Our Farm Day Camps are a great way to learn about all the great things that happen on a farm every day. Learn all about gardening, composting, recycling, cooking, water dynamics, and caring for all the various farm animals, chickens, goats, horses, and ponies.
