During our field trip to the Kids in Medicine laboratory at the Seattle Science Foundation, we will dissect a pig heart in the bioskills lab to learn about body systems and medicine.

Camp BLAST OFF!: What does it take to get into space? Lots of rocket power! Test out different ‘rockets’ to see which ones will climb the highest. Design your custom space cruiser and then build it. Make and launch a different rocket each day.

Travel back through time as we uncover the mysteries left behind by dinosaurs. We’ll study these magnificent prehistoric beasts, dig for dinosaur bones and create our own dinosaur fossils. Become a paleontologist in no time!

It’s time to say hello to the amazing world of robotics! Learn about the robots that you have in your home and use every day. Make different rovers that can pick up objects, complete an obstacle course, or engage in exciting tournaments.

Explore traditional materials and methods used by early settlers and first people. Learn the lore and medicinal uses of common weeds and native plants. Create a naturalist's journal to keep recipes and memories. This theme-based weeklong day camp is a great way to have summer fun while learning about the fascinating world of the garden. Spend five days developing practical garden skills, exploring plants and discovering animals that live in Seattle Tilth's community learning gardens and Meridian Park. This camp is intended for those entering grades 1-4 in fall 2013.
