We'll be working from the Roman versions in this class, by Jove! Magical transformations abound in these ancient stories, brought to life afresh by Seattle playwright Jennifer Dice ("Merry Maids of Nottingham," "Odysseus, or One Thing After Another"). Wonderful stories and great roles for young actors. Everything changes, nothing stays the same. Final performance 12 noon August 3.

Playing on a smaller court, using smaller rackets, low pressure and foam balls, youths participate in fun games and exciting drills. There are matches against other sites beginning in late July. All equipment is provided. Classes are offered 3 days a week so that there will be a time that works for you. You sign up for one specific day for the entire series. Children ages 3-5 may take the class by themselves; however, we offer Team Tot classes on Wednesday evenings at 6:30pm. This class allows the child and the parent to be in class together (both participants wear skates). It is recommended that skaters wear warm clothes that do not restrict movement. The ambient temperature on the ice surface year round is 40 degrees (or less).

Event Info: 425-455-7861 | Web site | emailPlease join Beverly Norfleet, Psy.D. for an 8-week class based on Jon Kabat-Zinn’s internationally famous and highly effective stress-reduction program, mindfulness-based stress reduction (MBSR). This class provides an introduction to key concepts in mindfulness – non-judgment, beginner’s mind, patience, non-striving and letting go. Each week a formal and informal mindfulness practice is presented through in-class exercises. Class materials are provided, including audio CDs and workbook. Attend a free orientation and meet the instructor. This class is a great introduction to mindfulness and mindful parenting.
