She is passionate about helping people awaken their naturally compassionate selves! And for helping others communicate in ways that work in the "real world". As a parent educator and the mother of three children, all now teenagers, she brings a depth of understanding to help families learn ways to maintain trust, honesty and love within their relationships.

While no one can tell you what your birth experience will be like, this class can help you feel prepared, confident and ready for the birth of your baby. This 6-week, 15-hour class is the most in-depth of our childbirth preparation classes. It covers the labor process, labor coping skills, pain medication, interventions of pregnancy and labor, cesarean birth, postpartum adjustment and more. This class also includes a Newborn Care class and a Breastfeeding class. A New Baby Reunion will be organized by your instructor at the end of the class. Plan to finish this class about 4-6 weeks prior to your due date. Taking our Coping With Confidence class after this class ends and before your due date will give you additional practice and review time with labor coping skills. Zeno, a non-profit organization, is offering its math camp adventures this summer that are super fun and help to combat that dreaded summer learning loss. Campers will use architecture to design and build their own city; build geometric Pirate Hats and learning to read treasure maps; play Blink while Measuring Monkeys with their Supermind; and learn money systems to barter like the Romans, Grecians, and Mayans. Ekone Ranch offers a one-of-a-kind camp program on 1060 acres of canyonlands, forests and meadows near the Columbia Gorge. Our residential, co-ed camp program features small groups of no more than 20 children per session and a 6:1 camper/staff ratio or better. Horse camp sessions emphasize the special relationship between children and horses. Campers spend many hours each day with our wonderful horses, grooming, learning groundwork, practicing in the arena, and going on long trail rides through spectacular country. We ride bareback and western. When not with the horses, campers are engaged in a variety of art projects, nature explorations, swimming, ranch activities and chores. This session is designed specifically for campers who already have some riding experience, with at least fifteen hours of independent, self-controlled riding under their belt (lessons or other experience), or one prior Ekone Summer Camp session. Intermediate session campers are aged 10-18, with a maximum group size of 24 and a minimum staff:camper ratio of 1:5.  This is a co-ed session.

In this inspiring program youth will learn: Yoga poses that increase physical strength and self confidence, breathing/meditation methods to help calm your body and mind, nutritional knowledge of how food affects mood, energy and vitality, methods for easy relaxation and stress management, the power of laughter and positive thinking, how to build strong, healthy relationships and creative expression through art and journaling. Why did the Chicken go to Camp? Each camper will have a whole chicken to de-bone. This chicken will be used to create a family meal that will be sent home at the end of the week. We will use every part of the chicken, making chicken sausage, wings for lunch, chicken breast parmesan for the take-home dinner. The meal taken home on Friday will include: Chicken sausage bruschetta, local organic salad, Pappardelle pasta with tomato sauce, Chicken Parmesan, and fresh mini fruit pies.

This camp encompasses favorites that are typically inexpensive, uncomplicated, and easy to prepare. In addition to a brief sojourn into ethnic foods, this camp will focus on practical meals and homemade favorites. These dishes are particularly good for young people when they need to keep costs down. Your young chef will rub elbows with many professional chefs all week long becoming competent and proficient in the kitchen by actually practicing hands-on culinary skills with them for five hours a day! Camp Explorations is an 11-week day camp program for children ages 5-12. Campers are divided into groups based on their grade levels in school. Dupont Kids Fitness' weekly summer camps offer non-competitive sports and nutrition education for campers. Finally, time to wear something other than a parka! To get our summer season jumping we have a brand new kids' summer camp dedicated to, well, summer! In this class the kids will learning basic sewing techniques while finishing a super cute wrap skirt and board shorts to wear at the beach. For the boys we will make two board shorts with pockets. A small materials list will be emailed out prior to class.
