Summer time is fun time! Have an outstanding time developing your sports skills at a fun-filled camp with knowledgeable, enthusiastic staff. Little Champs is focused on the FUNdamentals that are age appropriate and show an emphasis on health and sportsmanship. Campers wil be grouped by age.

Just like birthdays, slumber parties are a year around event for kids and who doesn't want to show off their new PJ party attire and goodies? In this class the girls will learn basic sewing techniques through making a pair of PJs (with pocket's of course), and a travel pillow with hidden pocket and a fun face on it. If we have enough time we will make a little drawstring tote to carry it all to and fro! A small materials list will be emailed before class.

Explore the mysteries of deep space! Can you see a black hole? What is an event horizon? Do you think there are extraterrestrials on other planets out there? Learn about planets in far off solar systems and the life forms that might live there. Consider the existence of wormholes and other ‘far out’ ideas.

Meadowbrook Church is excited to present Vacation Bible School. Colossal Coaster World will challenge kids to face their fears and trust God as they zip along the roller coaster of life. Through every twist, turn, and dive kids will learn that God has not given them a spirit of fearfulness, but a spirit of power, love and sound judgment. Kids ages 4 years old through those entering the 4th grade will explore Bible stories and concepts through music, discussion, games, crafts and more. Buckle up, keep your arms and legs inside the car at all times and come along for the ride! Snacks provided! Even if you can only make a few days, come join the fun! Bring a friend!

Campers will learn how to take care of and enjoy big and small animals. We incorporate the Montessori philosophy in our session. Field trip to The Little Farm at Windwater in Auburn on Aug. 16. We meet at the farm that day (small fee for field trip). Your whole family can attend the field trip.

Come join Seattle's Littlest Performers for a fun-filled summer of singing, dancing and drama! A young girl will wander into a magical forest and be taken to fairytale land where she offers aid to a princess, knight and dragon all trying to find their place in this world. The young girl is skilled in martial arts, and teaches the princess how to take care of herself. She also encourages the knights to befriend the dragons as their trusty companions.

LIGHTS! MUSIC! ART! This week at OmCulture Summer Skills Camp your child will be exploring the intersection of creation and technology as a part of the DIY/Open Source culture. Our Artist in Residence will bring in various technological instruments/toys/techniques for kids to explore and play with. The week will be spent working in groups, interacting with each other and with lights, video, and creative input devices that allow them to control, inspire and design their surroundings. The last day will culminate with a performance-art-lecture by the students, letting them communicate their creations, and interact with the audience as they lead them through the interactive displays.

Join us for another year of fun-filled outdoor adventure at Magnuson Park! Plant Detectives Camp is filled with hands-on nature exploration, songs, games, and nature crafts. It's designed to encourage curiosity and bonding with the natural world, and to develop big motor skills as well as dexterity. Camp fee includes an official Jr. Nature Explorers bandana - sign up for one or several! Bring a nutritious lunch and a water bottle. Course # 97535 on SPARC.

What would a superhero do? Students will learn the art of developing a storyline and putting together the elements of a comic book: panels, balloons, and pointers. They will complete their project by making a book to house their story. Each camper will have a finished book at the end of the week.

Our last camp of the summer is designed for Juniors ages 11-16 who have had several months of foil instruction either at Rain City Fencing, or at other clubs. It assumes a familiarity with the electrical scoring apparatus, and with bouting. We will focus on various tournament formats, reffing, trouble shooting the equipment, and tactics and strategy. We will be fencing all electric, all week!

Our last camp of the summer is designed for kids ages 8-11 who have had several months of foil instruction either at Rain City Fencing, or at other clubs. It assumes a familiarity with the electrical scoring apparatus, and with bouting. We will focus on various tournament formats, reffing, trouble shooting the equipment, and tactics and strategy. Seattle Drum School Rock Band Camp is an amazing experience for young musicians of any skill level! It's their chance to unlock their creative potential, acquire rehearsal skills, and learn cooperation and teamwork. The band members will work with a full time coach who will encourage them to build their own sound and even to compose their own songs if they're interested! The final performance, the Friday of camp @ 1pm in the L.A.B., is not to be missed by family, friends, neighbors, anyone who loves to see the unbelievable results of five days of collaboration and magic.

Ropeworks’ jump rope camps are directed and run by World Jump Rope Champion and Cirque Du Soleil Artist Rene Bibaud. Boys and girls of all skill levels are invited to participate in our jump rope camps, which teach kids the following disciplines: single rope skills, partner routines, double Dutch, jumping long rope skills, group game choreography and more. Kids work together in a fun and rewarding environment of goal setting, best effort and team building. Play games, learn skills, develop new skills and stay fit in our fun-filled high energy program that really gets kids jumping! Camp culminates with a performance for friends and family.

Insects are our friends. Dive into a fantastic exploration of garden insects. Learn anatomy, build bug houses and discover how to invite beneficial insects to your own garden. Explore the family organic garden in this two-day class for parents and preschoolers. Learn what to plant and how to work together to grow in your own garden. This class introduces children and parents to insects, flowers and the garden world. The session includes gardening, an art project, stories, our famous sun tea and yummy snacks!

Each week of camp the children work on developing their basic skills: somersaults, cartwheels, bridges, pivot turns, jumps, leaps, and much more. We will also be learning new skills with the Rhythmic gymnastics apparatus: jump rope, ball, hula hoop, and ribbon. Then all of these skills will be beautifully choreographed with music and dance to showcase at the end of the week.
