Grab a rolling pin and put on an apron! We’re going to be sifting, whisking, kneading, mixing and measuring as we bake savory and sweet creations from scratch. You’ll learn skills from the basics of proper measuring and correct utensil use to cake creations, flay pie crusts, the basics of working with yeasted dough and much more!

This camp encompasses favorites that are typically inexpensive, uncomplicated, and easy to prepare. In addition to a brief sojourn into ethnic foods, this camp will focus on practical meals and homemade favorites. These dishes are particularly good for young people when they need to keep costs down. Your young chef will rub elbows with many professional chefs all week long becoming competent and proficient in the kitchen by actually practicing hands-on culinary skills with them for five hours a day! Supply fee includes personalized chef's jacket , professional-quality chef's knife, Blue Ribbon electronic cookbook, diploma, daily lunch, and a student's ticket for Thursday Night's Graduation Dinner. This is our Junior Camp for ages 7-13.

What if you could bring your favorite book to life?! With Book-It, you will dig into the juicy parts of a story - characters, setting, sequence, point of view - then take it apart and put it together again as a script you will act out on stage. You'll spend the week in teamwork with your peers exploring stories in a fun, physical way. Finally, your new "acting ensemble" will share your work in a final performance. Part of ECA's Arts Enrichment Week.

Join the Bellevue Youth Symphony Orchestra this summer with music camps for all age groups and experience levels. In this camp, Session 1: Improve your skills on your Violin, Viola, Cello, or Bass in a beginning orchestra experience with other young musicians. Concert on July 13.

Camp Sprouting Spirits teaches your child how to regulate their emotions, be mindful, respond to stress, and changes in a healthy way. We make most of our snacks, like pizza, a smoothie bar, and “rainbow salad”, made with organic and locally grown produce whenever possible. We also have a yoga or music class every day plus an arts and crafts project. Our activities and games promote compassion, creativity, co-operation, teamwork, and patience. The entire camp is outdoors and we walk to the Rose Garden daily! We emphasize nature, yoga, dance, music, games, cooking, building fairy-houses. Every child has a blast at Sprouting Spirits! Camp TechWise offers instruction in a variety of areas, including:  Photography / Video (short-film): Students will research, script, storyboard, shoot and edit a complete video short film. Game Creation: Students use game authoring software to build a multi-level computer game. Music / Sound / Video Editing: combine video with sound editing (what is called Multi-Track production) and mix in a heavy dose of singing. Programming: Intro to Programming. It’s not easy and you will be learning… but it is cool and the results are totally worth it! Digital Photography Workshop: Students select, shoot, manipulate, and present a portfolio & gallery. Website Workshop: Our course covers HTML and PHP, Style Sheets and skins (including the popular WordPress, Drupal and Joombla open source themes). Engineering and Robotics Workshop: put on an “engineering hat” and design, build, solve and innovate their own creations. Linux: Install a Linux-based operating system. Networking: Campers connect several computers to create a network. Scientific Thinking Workshop: Students learn about topics and careers in scientific fields and perform hand-on experiments and discoveries. Machinima: make funny videos using the 3D animated characters from video games.

Discovery Days - where imagination comes alive...at camp! This day is part of the Seattle Children's Museum Summer Camp program which provides a create-your-own summer opportunity for families to select their own combination of single, half-day or full-day camps throughout June, July and August. Come join us in the fairy ring! This four-day camp is inspired by flowers and fairies from classical ballets and nature. Each day is split equally between dance and art. Culminates in an informal performance and gallery of student artwork.

During Summer Intensive at Emerald Ballet Academy, experienced dancers delve into their craft while increasing strength, flexibility, stamina, technique and artistry. Weeklong sessions can be taken separately or combined for a total of six weeks. Includes ballet technique, pointe/pre-pointe, stretching/conditioning, character, contemporary, modern, and variations. Level B and C students also study hip hop/modern and staging/choreography. Don't miss guest instructors Karine Plantadit in July and Daniel Wilkins in August.

Children enjoy playing in the lovely two-acre garden, picking berries, singing, and feeding the chickens and rabbit on this mini-farm in East Olympia. Camp is offered Mondays through Thursdays for the following weeks: July 9 through 11; July 15 through 18, July 29 through August 1; August 5 through 8; and August 12 through 15. Choose Monday & Wednesday or Tuesday & Thursday, or both, for one or all of the weeks listed. Children bring their own lunch; snack is provided.

How does a butterfly eat? Do snakes really dig holes? What’s a mountain beaver? How does an owl see at night? We’ll investigate these questions and more through experiments, exploration, games, stories, and art. Spend a week with one of our naturalists and you’ll leave with a whole new appreciation of the science behind the world around us and the creatures that inhabit it.

Believe it or not, scientists spend a lot of time outdoors. We’ll follow in their footsteps as we investigate the mysteries behind the world we live in and learn what makes it tick. Our creeks, ponds, wetlands, forests, meadows, and fully-stocked laboratory will be our classroom. You’ll get to meet some of the scientists behind the Brightwater Treatment plant and learn how Brightwater helps keep the Puget Sound clean. We’ll integrate games, art, and free exploration as well to round out the week and make sure that you’ll leave with a new understanding of what it means to “do science.”

Travel to fantastic new worlds without ever leaving the Museum! We’ll make believe with pirates, kings and queens, crazy creatures, fairies and elves.

How did people reach for the skies before they had airplanes? From the giant man-lifting kites of the ancient Chinese to Montgolfiers’ balloon, campers will explore all the ways people explored the skies centuries before the Wright brothers were ever born.

Summer time is fun time! Have an outstanding time developing your sports skills at a fun filled camp with knowledgeable, enthusiastic staff. Little Champs is focused on the FUNdamentals that are age appropriate and show an emphasis on health and sportsmanship. Campers wil be grouped by age.
