Summer time is fun time! Have an outstanding time developing your sports skills at a fun filled camp with knowledgeable, enthusiastic staff. Little Champs is focused on the FUNdamentals that are age appropriate and show an emphasis on health and sportsmanship. Campers wil be grouped by age.

Explore the wonderful world of insects at Lake Washington Girls Middle School. Together, we will delve into the world of insects through 3 dimensional art projects, scavenger hunts through our neighborhood, educational games and hands on dissections of a grasshopper. Whether your girls are afraid of creepy crawlies or fascinated by arthropods, they will love this week of STEAM-focused fun. STEAM Camp is an exciting and hands-on learning opportunity for young people with a special emphasis on the STEAM curriculum areas (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics). As educators, we must provide educational opportunities that endeavor to integrate the arts, sciences, and technology for this to happen. LWGMS already embraces this educational model, and is currently in the process of developing curriculum for our students that is cutting edge, and that integrates the arts into the STEM model: STEAM. STEAM design classes incorporate problem-solving, creativity, collaboration, presentation, prototyping, and response to critique (resilience). Seattle may have a lot of rain, but we also have lots of lakes and beaches to play in during the summer. In this two day camp, kids will make beach necessities, a swimsuit coverup and floppy beach hat. They will learn the basics of sewing on the machine as well as oodles of other sewing techniques. A small materials list will be emailed before class.

Children ages 3 to 5 years will be able to use glue, scissors, crayons, & markers. Special projects with watercolor, easel painting, finger painting, color mixing, and dough art. We incorporate the Montessori philosophy in our program. Field trip to Klay Crazy Ceramics (Auburn) on July 12. We meet at Klay Crazy. Cost: You get to help your child pick a ceramic to paint and you pay at Klay Crazy. The prices range from $4 to $10 (plus 9.5% tax) for ceramic, painting, & finished product. Come join Seattle's Littlest Performers for a fun-filled summer of singing, dancing and drama! A princess from an obscure kingdom must undergo an unusual test to prove her royal origins in this lively session. Jazz music will be infused into this original SLP script.

Digging in the soil, getting their hands dirty, children thrive as they learn to grow fruits and vegetables in an engaging, sustainable manner! Your child will spend the week with Jenny Pell discovering a new relationship with their environment and their food. Right outside OmCulture’s backdoor is our very own gardening and permaculture learning center.

This camp is all about putting things together and building. They will transform drawings into 3 dimensional works of art while working on concepts like visual balance and narrative. Students will create collages, wall-hangings, buildings, spaceships and cars out of cardboard, plastic, paper, wood and much more.

Explore the 21 Acres organic farm in these theme-based, two-day sessions. These classes introduce children and parents to insects, flowers and the garden world. Learn what to plant and how to work together to grow your own garden. Watch the farm goats and pick fresh berries. Each session includes gardening, an art project, stories, our famous sun tea, and yummy snacks!

Our USFCA certified instructors start at the very beginning with the on guard position and basic footwork. We teach basic offensive and defensive moves, the basic rules of the game of foil fencing, and end with an informal tournament on Friday. Junior classes are focused on technique, tactics, and mechanics. Our goal in camp is to have fun while learning the basics of modern Olympic sports fencing.

Seattle Drum School Rock Band Camp is an amazing experience for young musicians of any skill level! It's their chance to unlock their creative potential, acquire rehearsal skills, and learn cooperation and teamwork. The band members will work with a full time coach who will encourage them to build their own sound and even to compose their own songs if they're interested! The final performance, the Friday of camp at 1 p.m. in the L.A.B., is not to be missed by family, friends, neighbors, anyone who loves to see the unbelievable results of five days of collaboration and magic.

This camp will be a fun exploration of popular music for kids. Participants will be grouped according to their playing level and experience. Each group will rotate through different pods where they will learn contemporary, child-friendly songs on different instruments. Instruments will include piano, drums and guitar. Campers will learn about chords, sight-reading, ear training and ensemble playing. The campers will be able to play in “bands” where they will record a music video of the songs they work on throughout the camp. The camp will work on valuable music concepts as well as skills children can apply to other activities. The campers will learn the importance of working well with others, communicating effectively and helping one another understand new concepts. Every participant will need to pack a lunch each day. Ropeworks’ jump rope camps are directed and run by World Jump Rope Champion and Cirque Du Soleil Artist Rene Bibaud. Boys and girls of all skill levels are invited to participate in our jump rope camps, which teach kids the following disciplines: single rope skills, partner routines, double Dutch, jumping long rope skills, group game choreography and more. Kids work together in a fun and rewarding environment of goal setting, best effort and team building. Play games, learn skills, develop new skills and stay fit in our fun-filled high energy program that really gets kids jumping! Camp culminates with a performance for friends and family.

Are you ready to put your art on the map? Make collages, paintings and sculptures in response to art from around the globe. Along the way campers will create their own passports, mixed media maps, masks and more. This week will also include fun music workshops and a visit to the galleries at Seattle Art Museum Downtown.
