Come join us at View Ridge Playfield for Wedgwood Drama Studio’s theater summer camp. We’ll play theater games, build original characters, explore movement and scene work and learn what it takes to create an original performance all in the beautiful outdoors! Zeno, a non-profit organization, is offering its math camp adventures this summer that are super fun and help to combat that dreaded summer learning loss. Campers will use architecture to design and build their own city; build geometric Pirate Hats and learning to read treasure maps; play Blink while Measuring Monkeys with their Supermind; and learn money systems to barter like the Romans, Grecians, and Mayans. For dancers with som experience, this program provides four weeks of comprehensive, pre-professional training in multiple dance styles with the emphasis on classical ballet based on Vaganova method from Russian Ballet Academy, St. Petersburg, Russia. Two-week & One-week sessions are also available ($495-$795). Curriculum includes: Ballet, Pointe, Men's Class, Pas De Deux/Contemporary, Variations, Character, Jazz/Theatre Dance, Modern, Choreography, Mime, Mat/Stretch, History of Dance and Nutrition/Injury Prevention.  The end of each session culminates with informal performance for family and friends. An audition is required for this program, on Saturday, April 27, 2013, or by appointment, with a $25 audition fee.

It's time to get out of the house and play outside! In this 3-day camp series kids will make a pair of capris, a t-shirt and a drawstring bag. Kids will learn the basics of sewing knitwear, pattern reading and other fundamental sewing techniques. Please note: This class is for kids who already have a firm understanding of the sewing machine and have experience with making clothing. A materials list will be emailed to you closer to the class date.

Day 1: snack walk in our organic p-patch plot, begin the harvest, make flower bouquets and chef's hats, and set up our "banquet room". Join our teen expedition to the wild backcountry of Idaho where we search for tracks and sign of the elusive wolf, and learn what the animals of the wilderness have to teach us. Explore the rivers, forests, and mountains guided by our most experienced instructors. The abundance of wildlife and vast wilderness of this region, combined with the commitment of Wilderness Awareness School instructors to fostering deep respect for and connection with the natural world provides for a truly incredible, and possibly life-changing, experience. The basic course is for beginning trackers, as well as returning students who love the variety of adventures to be had in the Idaho backcountry. The advanced course is for students returning to Idaho who are seeking a more focused study of wildlife tracking and the biology and ecology of wolves. Each course is limited to 16 participants! Due to the remote location of this course, each participant must return a signed Physician’s Medical Form by June 1. This is for the safety of our participants and our organization. Completion of this form will require a physical exam completed within one year of the course date, and an appointment with that physician for the form to be filled out. Le Monde Francophone! French camp for any level of fluency. Spend two weeks on beautiful Canoe Island, located in the San Juans. Polynesia, Africa, the Caribbean, North America, and Asia: explore other countries where French is spoken. Represent your chosen francophone country with your team as you compete in the Jeux de la Francophonie in your favorite sport and present your region in a World’s Fair of native foods, crafts, clothing, and games. Listen to Cajun music, try Vietnamese food, and paint your face like those in Vanuatu. This is the perfect session for those wanting more of an immersion experience.

Ekone Ranch offers a one-of-a-kind camp program on 1060 acres of canyonlands, forests and meadows near the Columbia Gorge. Our residential, co-ed camp program features small groups of no more than 20 children per session and a 6:1 camper/staff ratio or better. Horse camp sessions emphasize the special relationship between children and horses. Campers spend many hours each day with our wonderful horses, grooming, learning groundwork, practicing in the arena, and going on long trail rides through spectacular country. We ride bareback and western. When not with the horses, campers are engaged in a variety of art projects, nature explorations, swimming, ranch activities and chores. Our garden-fresh, from-scratch food is a highlight of the camp experience (many a camper has learned to love their vegetables in the Yummy Tummy Cafe). Campers sleep in our A-frame longhouse, in tipis, under the stars, or in the hay barn where we listen to the horses breathe all night long. Wrangler Camp is designed to give young people age 12 and older a more intensive  riding and ranch experience. Wranglers will get the chance to really hone their  horsemanship skills, explore more advanced trails, and participate in horse  training.  Wranglers will help plan the week’s activities, including meals, work  projects, and a special adventure that may include an overnight pack trip, a visit to our best local horsetrainer, an excursion to a new spot on Rock Creek Canyon, or another adventure we haven’t dreamed up yet!
