The Bush School's Summer Opportunities Showcase features dozens of camps for kids ages 9-19.

Frankly Speaking

So goes one of the final entries in The Diary of Anne Frank -- the story of a Jewish girl who lives in hiding from the Nazis during WWII. Ah, the heat, the humidity, the spider monkeys dropping onto your head...take a mental cruise down the Amazon while listening to traditional tunes from Central and South America. Chocolate Painting
Chocolate painting? CHOCOLATE PAINTING? It's genius, I tell you! And this event's not just lickin' good fun, it's good for kids -- proceeds benefit Camp Erin, a bereavement camp for children. Kids get a 2-pound chocolate heart and a white chocolate "canvas" to decorate with edible colored paints. Kid-friendly snax, bubbly for the adults. Reservations required. Adult/child pair $40. Love Monkey
Cheap thrills at the zoo! Watch critters "open" their valentines (OK, nom onto heart-shaped nummies, like ice pops and steaks).
