Sea story
Here's one of the best sea adventures ever set to music...and the most fun you can have on a ship (without Johnny Depp). It's HMS Pinafore, performed by SecondStory Repertory - the Gilbert & Sullivan comedic operetta about a captain who hardly ever gets sick at sea. $21-$27. Elementary ages and up. Fowl play
The swans, they are a-swimming in PNB's ballet about evil, true love, and waterfowl. Swan Lake, with its gorgeous score by Tchaikovsky and choreography by Kent Stowell, is a visual treat. Look for deals and freebies: on Under 25 Friday (April 10 and 17), folks under 25 can get one ticket for $15, and there are free pre-performance lectures scheduled throughout the ballet's run. $25-$155. Zoo 'do
Set your bunnies loose on the lawn at the zoo's annual Easter 'do, the Bunny Bounce. There's an egg hunt for ages 1-8, crafts, bunny photos and zoo programs throughout the day. Kids ages 3 and under hunt in the corral, 9:30 a.m.-2 p.m.; kids ages 3-5 and 6-8 hunt every hour, on the hour, between 10 a.m.-2 p.m. in the North Meadow. Bring a bag or basket from home.
