Outdoorsy type?

It's a fairy-tale mash-up when characters from different stories meet up in James Lapine and Stephen Sondheim's musical, Into the Woods. $16-$24. Ages 5 and up. Lakewood Playhouse, 5729 Lakewood Towne Center Blvd. S.W., Lakewood. Through April 26: Fridays, Saturdays 8 p.m.; Sundays 2 p.m.

 

Hare-y ride

Ride the rails with the rabbit! The Bunny has hidden a stash of eggs near Mineral Lake. Hop the express train for a fun family steam train ride, be on the lookout for the Easter bunny, and get in on an egg hunt. $20, senior/military $18, ages 4-12 $15, ages 3 and under free. All ages. Mount Rainier Scenic Railroad, 349 Mineral Creek Road, Mineral. Saturday, April 11; departures at 10:30 a.m., noon, 2:30 p.m., 4 p.m.

 

Mall haul

Load up on more Easter eggs, make like a bunny in a bounce house, get your face painted, and more! Free. All ages. South Hill Mall, 3500 S. Meridian, Puyallup. Saturday, April 11, 1-4 p.m.

 

Parents' Night Out! 

Drop off the kids for a little culture while you take in a movie and some Goobers. Or whatever! Kids have fun with art activities, pizza and creative play at the museum while you're gone. Must be able to use the bathroom alone (the kids, not you). Preregistration required. $30 per child, $25 for additional siblings; members $25/$20. Ages 4-10. Hands On Children's Museum, 106 11th Ave. S.W., Olympia. Saturday, April 11, 6-9:30 p.m.

 

Egglephant?

Which animal will you make out of your egg? Set your inner zoologist free at the museum for a fun event guided by a professional artist. Today, paint an egg animal with artist Jennifer Adams, then keep it away from the break dancers! Cool performance by the Fab5. Free with museum admission. All ages. Museum of Glass, 1801 E. Holiday hike

Spend the day Sunday exploring the Morse Wildlife Preserve's gorgeous grounds in Graham, which are open to the public today. Call the Tacoma Nature Center to register and to get directions: 253-591-6439‎. Free. All ages. Sunday, April 12, noon-4 p.m.
