Choc- it up

Northwest Children’s Theater & School presents a world-premiere adaptation of Pinocchio, an "industrial musical" in which our hero is a mechanical boy, not a wooden puppet. (The show runs through February, but this weekend it's presented as part of Portland-wide arts festival Fertile Ground 2010 -- festival performance dates are Jan 29 at 7 p.m., Jan 30 at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m., and Jan. 31 at 2 p.m. Buy a festival GrOw button for $5 and shave two bucks off the ticket price). $18-$22. Ball for a ballroom
Celebrate the historic Crystal Ballroom's near-centennial at the 10th annual Birthday Free-for-All!
