KidsQuest Children's Museum throws a zany Alice in Wonderland-themed bash in which your little white rabbits can play flamingo croquet, make funny hats and partake of tea and treats. You're encouraged to dress up outlandishly. Sunday, March 13, 10 a.m.-noon

Pick of the week

Portland family musician Professor Banjo's a hoot -- he sings, he picks (on the banjo, of course), and he teaches kids about old-time music. Watch him record one of his shows live at Empty Sea Studios in Seattle! Sunday, March 13, 4:30 p.m.

Merry Mermaid
