For today’s parents, balance is the greatest challenge. Celebrated local pediatrician, and mom who does it all, discusses the work/home juggling act, technology use, and role of smart decision-making in caring for our children.
In today’s fast-paced world, many of us struggle to find a balance between our professional and family lives. Respected local pediatrician Wendy Sue Swanson knows these difficulties as a working mother herself and joins ParentMap to discuss striking a balance between what sometimes feel like competing worlds. She will be discussing pediatric health, juggling work and being a parent, and deciphering medical news as a parent—not just as a doctor.
Swanson, who actively runs a parenting and pediatric blog called Seattle Mama Doc is a pediatrician at the Everett Clinic and Seattle Children’s Hospital, as well as a Clinical Instructor at the University of Washington’s Department of Pediatrics. She knows a thing or two about striking a balance!
Attendees will hear Swanson talk from both sides, as a parent and as a medical professional. Swanson is passionate about helping parents make informed decisions about pediatric health and well-being, as well as helping parents find fulfillment in the workplace.
Tickets: $20 in advance/$25 at the door
