Indoor play time
We are hoping the rest of this summer does not turn rainy, or smoky or too hot for delicate Puget Sound-area snowflakes, but if you need to head indoors, here's some fun stuff to do.
- Dig into history — and play astronaut! — at the Museum of Flight's enthralling exhibit on the Apollo 11 moon mission. It's the 50th anniversary of that mission this month.
- Try spinning and bumping on the ice at Sprinker Recreation Center's new ice bumper car activity. Bundle with ice skating for stay-cool fun.
- Catch a cheap family movie with bargain and discounted matinees and showings around the Sound.
- This charming seaside museum welcomes families with engaging, hands-on activities about local history — and admission is free.
