Show your love
The idea of Galentine’s Day was first uttered in an episode of “Parks and Recreation” — all the way back in 2010. In the show, Leslie Knope threw a party to celebrate her best gal pal the day before Valentine’s Day. The idea took off in real life, and from then on, February 13 become known as “Galentine’s Day,” a day for ladies celebrating ladies.
Fast forward to 2021 and we could all do with a bit of Galentine’s Day cheer in our lives. Due to the pandemic, we can’t really celebrate and hang out with our gal pals, our mom tribe or our work wives. But we can still honor these special people from afar with some thoughtful gifts from Seattle-area BIPOC businesses — because they deserve our love and need our support, too.
Scroll through the arrows above for some gift ideas from awesome businesses to help share the love this February.
