HealthMap About Us

Read it in good health!

There was never any question that this new publication, HealthMap, would come to be. After all, when you think about the things that matter most to families, health and wellness are right up at the top of the list. Every new day brings a dizzying array of stories about new research, treatments and advice; short of getting an M.D., parents need some way of sorting through it all and making sensible decisions for their families. Inside these pages, you’ll find information and resources for health and wellness at every age and stage, from preschool to pre-college, and everything in between.

ParentMap was created more than five years ago to educate, inspire and connect Puget Sound–area parents. Since then, we’ve gotten healthier by the year, growing by leaps and bounds! Besides our award-winning monthly newsmagazine, we now publish HealthMap, LearningMap, BabyMap, SummerMap, PartyMap and Family Directory. Our award-winning Web site is a gold mine of resources for parents, including a searchable calendar of events created just for families. And we support parents with great events; everything from Preschool Preview Nights, to CampFair, to LearningMap education fairs, and our ever-popular Pathways lecture series for parents.

You see, at ParentMap, our passion for good health comes naturally. The two dozen or so crazy-busy, talented and devoted moms and dads who make up our organization think about these issues daily; how they affect our own families, our communities, and the more than 180,000 parents, caregivers and educators who read our magazines each month. We had you in mind when we created HealthMap, and we hope you find it interesting and useful. Please let us know what you think. Write to us at editor@parentmap.com.
