To commemorate the 10th anniversary of 9/11, the Woodland Park Zoo is offering free admission to all active and retired U.S. military, police, firefighters and EMTs (with valid service ID) on Sept. 10 and 11 (and half-price admission for up to six guests).
The zoo is also launching an ongoing military discount beginning Sept. 12. Active and retired military (with valid service ID) and their families will receive $5 off admission at the gate year round, instead of having to get discounted tickets at a military base.
The zoo is open this weekend from 9:30 a.m.-6 p.m.
Regular admission fees are $17.50 for adults, $11.50 for ages 3-12, free for ages 2 and younger.
